This is a wild little thing. The cars are different from today&#39.s coasters and that produces airtime. You leave the station expecting to go to the lift hill. Instead you are dropped and that took me by suprise.

I may not be very popular for saying this, but this ride is WAY over-rated. Everyone from Pittsburgh goes on and on about how great this coaster is. The truth of the matter is that there is one good moment (the double dip) in an otherwise fairly boring coaster. It is easily the worst coaster in the park. It's still worth riding, but it certainly is no 10.

The ride was really short, but boy it packed a punch. Thanks to only having a seatbelt, the double down was absolutely insane. The air was just incredible. Other than that though the ride is pretty tame, but that one moment makes it worth a ride.

Nice little wooden coaster. I really liked how well the ride worked with the terrain, but the part before the lift hill had no air and was slow in my opinion. The double down was incredible though and I got insane air in the back. After that were a few more drops that didnt have much air, only one or two of the hills gave some air time for back seat riders.

Another classic ride at Kennywood whos first drop is not the rides biggest! The ride starts out with some decent drops and turns without even a lift hill. The highlight of the ride is easily the drop right after the lift, the historic "double dip." The airtime was good as promised, but it wasnt the best airtime moment Ive had. In fact, I will take airtime moments from Kennywood’s own Phantoms Revenge and Thunderbolt over Jack Rabbits. I did think it was cool how the whole train was chanting "Double Dip! Double Dip!" all the way up the lift hill and around the subsequent curve. It really built up my anticipation, because the GP usually don’t know rides that well. I was probably the only one on the train who had never ridden it before! So, the double dip was good, but it seemed like a quick moment of airtime, and just not as enjoyable as traditional "bunny hill" air IMO. Unfortunately, element wise, the only thing worth mentioning is this double dip, as the rest of the ride is very lame, short, and uneventful. My only ride was at night, but after watching a POV of the coaster, I am very impressed with how much terrain is used. Too bad I couldnt see it at night, but the darkness made the ride fun in a different way. Also, the trains were extremely comfortable, and featured single-position buzzbars and no seat dividers, as all classic wooden trains should. The ride tracked wonderfully for a 1921 coaster, and like all of Kennywoods coasters involved next to no pain. Overall, I think Jack Rabbit is a bit lame, but the classic factor and double dip really make for a fun ride. My biggest complaint was the length.

Jack Rabbit is a "cute" ride but much like the other woodies in the park, nothing too special. I was actually pretty disappointed in the double down, but to be fair I wasnt all the way in the back so Im sure it can be better. Im not sure why they put seat belts on this thing, or even why that became an issue a couple years ago, because I didnt think they came into play at all. I liked the fairly simple layout that took advantage of the hills, but in the end its just a pleasant ride with limited thrills.

This ride is a classic. The restraints are perfect and make for "Im going to die" airtime!
I was VERY shocked the first time I rode it. Its a must ride when visiting kennywood

Really, theres nothing special about this coaster. The only good part is the double dip in which you fly on but the first, 2nd and last hills are pretty dinky. Also, jack rabbits layout is really simple and short. This is more of a family ride, so thats why im giving it a 6 because its good for beginners and the only air time you get is on the double dip.

This small historic coaster deserves a 10! The double dip is one of the best airtime moments on a coaster in the world i would have to say, i can ride any coaster fast, tall, it doesnt matter for me, roller coasters dont scare me at all but i still have to put my hands down to hold on for it!
This is a must-ride at Kennywood, if the line is long, come back later, chances are it is shorter. But the line goes very fast when they run 2 trains. Other than the double dip the whole coaster is just fun, it starts out going around a turn and down a hill. Its not that rough either.

Kennywoods best wooden, it succeeds almost everywhere where Thunderbolt screwed up. First, it is a moderately smooth ride, unlike the Thunder, which "jack-hammers" the double-up, so there is airtime without pain. Second, the track slopes slightly downward occasionally, giving it an "out of control" feel. The air time is also vastly superior to that of Thunderbolts, and you are never thrown against the side of the car due to lack of banked curves. Unfortunately, it has the same problem as Thunderbolt as being anti-climactic. The lift hill midway sort of ruins the momentum. But other than that, this is a small wooden rollercoaster, but delivers big thrills! Just a tip: Dont take your hat on this ride! (I learned the heard way...)
