The Whip is a flat ride. It is fast, fun, rerideable, it has a large capacity, and a long duration.

First off: Sorry folks, but for some reason, whenever I type this review my apostrophes get screwed up. So I shall use quotation marks in their place. Now for the review: Great ride to relax on, great for kids, etc, etc. No, if you are some hard-ass thrill-seeker, this one won"t do much for you, but for the rest of us, it"s a perfectly fun ride. Great to relax on! No line whatsoever! Got a girl/boyfriend? Take "em on! It"s like Kennywood"s swiss army knife! My main beef is that the roof is no longer there. I always liked having the roof, but it got blown off, so what can you do? Oh well.

But get on this ride! It"s great! The cars are painted perfectly, and everything just looks so retro and classy! And the ride itself? It"s fun. You got the clanky straight sections, and the whippy curvy sections. (That"s what they are called now)

Soooooooo... bottom line, I"m stunned at how such a simple ride concept can yield such an enjoyable experience. Ride this.

These are still really fun rides despite their age. The laterals and speed going around the edge is great and really cool. Also, the cycle was really long as well and this ride just really captures the feel of Kennywood.

I found this to be a pretty good whip. The ride is very well maintained and is in great condition. Though slower than some other whips out there, the whipping still was good and had decent laterals and Kennywood ran it with a long cycle.

This is a good classic whip. This ride is historic and fun at the same time. Cool ride without a wait.

The Whip is by now a pretty rare ride to find at a park, which is a shame, because theyre a lot of fun. Theyre speedy, have great laterals, and are just plain fun and at the same time less disorienting and nauseating than many of todays whirling wonders. I did find this version to be slower than Blackpool Pleasure Beachs version from what I can recall, but it was fun nonetheless, and leaning into the turns cannot hurt the experience, I assure you. Check it out, as they are rare, unique, and, most of all, fun!

The Whip is an awesome ride! The best Whip ride in the country! Its great, that Kennywood, keeps their old rides operating. Kennywood is a great amusement park overall!!

Sadly, not many whips are around anymore, and that was a total shock to me when I learned that because Pennsylvania has whips at so many parks. I was so used to seeing whips at the parks I grew up at...

Back to the point: Kennywoods Whip. This thing is great, its fast, thrilling, and just such great fun! Tip: If you want the most thrills, lean your weight to the outside for the best whip ride ever. Once my aunt, sister and I squeezed into one car (surprised the ride op let us ) and when we leaned all our weight to the side, my sister said something like "CAN YOU GUYS STOP THROWING YOUR WEIGHT IT IS TOO MUCH FOR ME!!!". She is a chicken on rides, so I can understand why she said that, so I told her to scream, and she was like "I DONT KNOW HOW!". Very funny. If you go to Kennywood, dont miss their Whip. Its much better than say, Knoebels or Hersheyparks whip.

A unique but old ride. I always raise my arms going around the quick turns, which made a simple ride an enjoyable one.You wont find many of these today, but this a treasure to behold. Kennywood is the kind of park with rare rides, and this is one of them. Since it isnt fast enough, it took away two points. i hope Kennywood keeps this.
