PhantomNik says it all in his review. If this was any faster or taller you would certainly fall out. Great for its size and age. Im giving it the extra point because the little ones can ride, I think its only a 36" height requirement. EDIT: 9/11/05 rerode it over Labor Day weekend and the seatbelt doesnt change a thing, Ill re-iterate that the double down is insane.

Definately worth a few rides if your ever at Kennywood. Just like the other woodies here, the layout is like none other and you actually get some sneaky pops of air here and there. Thats pretty good for the oldest coaster Ive ever been on.

I loved this woodie at kennywood. I personally found it to be better than the other more well known rides. I love this first drop through the valley. A ride that I feel does not get the attention it deserves. Make sure you give it a chance.

Jack Rabbit is a sleeper. On my first trip to Kennywood I was at first disappointed. I didnt fnid anything really great or outstanding about Phantoms Revenge and Thunderbolt, not that they arent great rides, just really over hyped. The Jack Rabbit who ever was a coaster I wasnt expecting much from, the double dip was great, such a short small simple coaster but it provides a great thill, my favorite ride at Kennywood.

Jack Rabbit is a great old fashioned woodie that has survived the test of time. This was my very first roller coaster, and I still love it today! You gotta love the restraint system for this puppy - a single leather lap belt you can leave nice and loose. It basically feels as though there arent any restraints at all! There is a nice drop after heading out of the station and then a tunnel before the lift hill. After climbing 45 feet, you turn back towards the deep ravine and plunge into a brilliantly designed 70 foot double dip. And this is where Jack Rabbit earns its reputation. During the double dip, with some help from your nice and loose restraint, you experience massive airtime!! I mean, were talking literal STANDING airtime here!!! This is felt anywhere in the train, but it is most insane in the very back seat. Another decent drop and youre back in the station. Its a short and simply designed coaster, but that double dip and its monsterous airtime make the Jack Rabbit a true gem worthy of hefty praises! Ride it and experience some good old coaster joy!!

Out of the 3 woodies at Kennywood, the Jack Rabbit is my favorite! The double drop combined with the unrestrictive restraint gave me some of the most insane airtime Ive ever had -- I was so far out of my seat, I was practically standing!

By todays standards, this is just a really good family coaster. HOWEVER, by the standards 80 years ago, this mustve been a truly incredible feet of a coaster. Add to it that the design is very unique (thanks to the terrain) and that strong shot of air (you know the one I mean) is just wonderfully viscious (my 5ft friend thought she was going to fly out). The simple, classic restraints add an element of thrill to the ride that wouldnt normally be there (much like the lack of restraints on IBs Tigrr Coaster). As a current coaster, Id rate this a 5 ... as yesterdays, Id give it a 9 ... with an added point for the restraint fun, Im calling it even at a 7.

Jack Rabbit proves that bigger and longer doesnt have to mean better. At first glance, this old-fashioned wooden coaster looks rather meek. However, this coaster is just pure fun to ride! Theres 2 nice drops before you even hit the lift. And the double dip is pure airtime heaven!! Its not very intense of a ride overall, but the airtime totally makes up for it.

Another brilliant creation by John Miller. Not a particularly long ride, but this double out and back jumps and skips over the hill terrain just like, well, a Jack Rabbit. You can’t approve upon it.
