It was more thrilling when I was little. I still enjoy this ride but IMO it has gone downhill. It doesnt startle me or surprise me or anything anymore, its just another ride.
Jaws is definatly not as thrilling as it once was, but its a good ride. I actually knew the boat captain I had, so he let me "steer" the boat. That was pretty cool. Good ride.
Even though its a water ride, dont EVER ride it on a hot day. You will regret it. Being shut up in the boat shed was nice and creepy, though.
I agree with most people, its a nice classic. Sure the animatronics might not be up to date, but theres something called imagination you dull lifeless freaks. Like someone mentioned earlier, the shark is relentless with the attacks. I dont remember long lines but I always go to this when I come to Universal, sorta, *sob*, reminds me of...I MISS KONGFRONTATION!
I rode on a chilly 55 degree day and sat in the back. While everyone else got soaked, I didnt, because of the angle the sharks come at the boat. If you look closely, you can tell that the scenery is obviously fake, but when a shark is coming at you does it matter whether its fake or not? Very overrated but still a must ride if you obtain Universal Express for about $16. Then the line is anywhere from 5 minutes in an uncrowded time to 40 minutes in the height of the summer. Just make sure not to ride in the front on a cold day.
Oh my god, the ride is just as fake as the movies. lets all sit and laugh at Universals weak, feeble attempt to scare and entertain us! Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha....
This thing gets worse everytime. The line is just painful to get through and the reride does not keep up the excitement. Im not usually up for replacing rides but i believe this one has outlived its time.
Take the fact that the shark doesnt even remotely look real anymore things are showing their age (2), the theming is excellent and the pyro is awesome(9), and the ride is interesting and fun b/c of the interactive acting from the guide (9). Average = 6.67. So.....I give it a 7.
We had a good "Driver" and had a good time watching him trying to take out the shark with his toy grenade launcher. Its a classic and if you must skip it, at least get your picture taken by the big shark outside the entrance.
THIS IS A CLASSIC. It may have been really corny, but because it is such a classic ride, I have to give it a 10!
