They got rid of Alfred Hitchcock for this. Think about it folks. Besides why stand in line for 3 hours when they released this attraction on DVD with 3-D glasses. What a horrible mistake.
It was alright, but it was noisy and somewhat boring at parts plus the preshow took way too long.
The wait is long to get into this one. The pre-show wait at the mirror is entertaining at least for the first few minutes. If you are near the front of the line, it takes a while for the staff to herd enough people in to fill the theatre and by the end it gets a little tiresome. The theatre isnt really themed. The movie is funny and the effects are good. Overall, a good family attraction and a bonus if you like Shrek, as well.
Its pretty good. It really cools you off on a hot day, which is pretty much evrey day. The movie itsself isnt very good, but the effects were pretty good. The moving seats were very loud, which kind of took away from the whole effect, but it was still pretty good.
Old trick. Nothing special. You got some 4d effect that everybody knows. The movie is not funny at the least bit.
This is the first 4-D show I have seen and since I dont have anything to compare it to yet, Id say its pretty darn good and a must see if you are at Universal Studios. I think my husband got more of a kick out of watching me during the show than watching the actual show because I was so entertained and having so much fun I kept giggling out loud like a 4 year old! If you love Shrek and Donkey then definitely do not miss this show!
The second best 4-D show in town only below Phillarmagic at the Magic Kingdom...
I loved it so much i purchased the film on DVD!
not as good without the effects though....
The Pre-Show isnt that bad but on your 5th ride it does become slightly tedious, but the missleading plot in the pre-show did dissapoint me a little... All in all a great ride NOT TO BE MISSEED. But it does take alot of time.
I love Shrek, but wow, this was awful. The pre-show leads you to believe that youre headed into Farquaads torture chamber. Naturally, anyone who has seen a lot of 3-D attractions would picture something like Its Tough To Be a Bug, where they would be "torturing you" with the 3-D effects. And then I imagined Shrek and Donkey would come in and save you or something. But instead, the actual theater has almost no theming and the movie and the characters do not interact with the audience at all. I dont understand who thought that the moving seats would be a good idea, because theyre so loud you almost cant hear the movie... and it also doesnt make sense because the action on screen isnt happening to *You* anyway. Other than the moving seats, everything else is just cheap 3-D attraction cliches. Wow, water sprays on you.. I wouldnt have guessed that would happen! I thought the movie itself was boring and uninteresting, as well. I noticed that the queue and pre-show were taking cheap shots at Disney... but if theyre going to do that, maybe the movie should have actually been good, like Disneys 3-D attractions.
Shrek was not one of my favorite movies, but it really suprised me in the form of 3D. The hydrolic seats were sort of loud, but they had no seat belts.

Over all, its a good ride, but I seen better.
