I really enjoyed Shrek 4D. The pre-show was goofy and a good distraction from the wait into the real theater. The seats were a mild disappointment only moving slightly up and down, but somehow were effective to get across the motions needed. The 3D effects popped out of the screen well. The 4D effects were useful the the places they put them. Overall a good show and another Universal must-see.

This show was good. It had me cracking up most of the time. There is just some random humor in the middle of a serious part which makes it funny. The pre-show is funny too. They did a good job of transfering the world of shrek the real world.

This was a nice, typical 4D show. It was for kids, of course, but still enjoyable for all ages. The preroom took quite a while and you lose your anticipation while waiting some time in there, but once in the theater you watch an enjoyable show, with some effects other than just water. It was fun and entertaining but worth no more than a 45 minute wait at the most.

This show sucked. Big time.

You get shoved into the preshow room and being constantly reminded over and over to move all the way up or get a flogging. It gets really annoying after about 30 seconds. The preshow isnt too bad, and is the only reason this show got a 2 and not a 1. Even so, everything goes downhill in the main theater.

In the main theater, the themeing of the medievil pre-show stops dead. Its a modern theater with some banners on the wall and leather-ish seats. LEATHER SEATS!! This is supposed to be a torture chamber! During the show the seats shake. Its loud (you can hear the air valves actuating and air being released). The motion is jarring and doesnt match the onscreen action at all.

The movie is like Shrek 1.5. Unlike other 4D movies, the movie action doesnt involve the audience at all. Youre just watching action on a screen.

I love the Shrek movies, but this attraction was an utter disappointment. I even gave it a second chance and it still didnt jive with me.

I loved Shrek 4-D. I knew that I would enjoy this b/c I loved the Shrek 1 & 2 movies. Some of the characters were trying to warn us about what the ghost of Lord Farquad was going to do to us & that really brought out the anticipation of how he was going to torture us. Donkey still makes me laugh a lot. Give this 3-D show a chance at least once to experience one of the best animated movies around.

This ride was alright, the storyline however, fell short of other Shrek stories: it was rather boring. The fact that the theater moves is great, but if you sit in the back you can hear the mechanisms that move the seats really well and it drowns out the audio of the people talking on screen. After a while the fact that the seats are going up and down gets very annoying. At one point it stops and you feel relieved, then it starts up again.

The thing I loved best about this ride was the Pre-Show. We got a great person talking to us, really getting us involved and looking forward to our torture. I am off the opinion that that girl should be a comedian, as I dont think their parts are scripted, not line by line anyhow.

The actual show was entertaining, great for younger people as it wasnt all that clever and the jokes were simple. However, I think that would be a problem for older guests.

I wouldnt say the actual show is that memorable, a good, easy way to spend some of the day but not the best 3D Ive ever seen. Animal Kingdoms A Bugs Life being miles better.

So far this is the only 4D movie I have been to and I thoroughly enjoyed it. This was a great ride to go with a great movie. Shrek was a good choice to go 4D.

This was an okay ride, my main complaint is the story, which isnt all that strong. Its far from a lousy ride, and its a good addition to the park. Muppet Vision is a bit better.

Simply put, the effects of this ride were quite good, but I found the story line to be a bit weak. The whole thing was a bit ridiculous, what with Farquadd returning from the dead and all. Overall, I thought it was not one of Universals best. Good for families, but not worth a very long wait, as it frequently had during my visit.
