I for some reason like the Jaws attraction.I was kind of in to the movies, they were ok,but I think the focus here is Universal wants you to know whats it like to get attacked by a shark or know what its like to be right in the middle of a Terminator battle.Thats pretty much the whole point of the Universal studious themepark,to see and know what it is like to be in the movies. Now Jaws Is a Universal classic attraction.Kind of like E.T. and Back to the future.Kind of like Disney and there classic attractions. It deffently fits in the Amity New England themeing. The line quee starts out in a boat house, with TV talking about the shark and stuff like that. You then get to your boat,in which you see a boat captin.I can conclude to myself that its a guided boat tour type ride, wich its kind of like Disney jungle cruise, but with a tottaly diffrent story. Then your off.The captin points out some things along the way,and then all of a sudden you see a sunken boat. You have something in mind. You know there is a (robotic)killer shark out there. You see its fin and your captin then trys to shoot the shark away with a shotgun. You go into a boat house but yet the shark manages to get in there too.The rest off the ride your basically trying to get away from the shark.Your captin manages to shoot the shark, and then thats it.There are some good fire effects featured in the ride, and you do get a little wet,if your in a certain spot of the boat.Jaws a great attraction and its something you wont find in other parks.I think its a great fun ride and I am proud to give it a 10.

This is one of the weaker rides in the park, mostly dominated by the newer attractions, but it is still pretty good. It is also very popular, one of the longest lines in the park every day I visited. The set up is nice and very realistic for a New England fishing village. The houses look real and the boats and what not add to it. The tour guide we had wasnt the best, as we joked that she disliked her job... we sat in the front row for our one tour. The ride itself is ok, the show is kinda weak. The grenade launcher system should be updated if possible to make it more realistic rather than a plastic gun with a green button on the end. Jaws was looking pretty good, not terribly horrifying, but a good work of art. The storyline was decent, and the sinking of the ship was my favorite part. Overall, it may have been a 7 or 8 back in 1992 when I first visited, back when lines stretched to Maine, but now it is a bit older and other rides in the park outshine it.

This ride can be a 10 if you have a great tour guide like I did once. The ride itself is only fun if your on the side of the boat. Get soaked well that way. Overall good ride. Nice scenery.

This ride is showing its age. Only a very energetic tour operator saved this from a lower rating. I know the sfx were cutting edge when it opened, but they just same fake now. This ride didnt deserve to have the longest ride in the park, the sign said 30 minutes but it took 45 minutes, we should have Express passed this instead of Earthquake.

A fun experience for the family. What makes this ride a winner are the neat structures through which the boat travels through. The entertaining guides provide an amusing narrative, and the electric ending is chaotic fun. The New England section of Universal where "Jaws" is located is fun as well...tons of gaudy shops, midway games, lights, and carnival smells, all situated in authentic looking New England buildings makes for a fun and lively atmosphere.
