Really fun. The open-air seats were cool and the inverting as always is a blast. There was killer hang-time, but the cycle seemed a bit short.

this ride is fantastic. the split second stop and reverse are awesome. the only downsides to this ride are the loading and the cycle length.

Time Warp and Double Trouble will forever be linked because of their well-documented identity crisis amongst both park-goers and enthusiasts. In fact, even park employees acknowledged the park’s comical gaff. Well Time Warp, the park’s Vekoma Air Jumper operated two sides and lacked any clock theming whatsoever. Meanwhile, Double Trouble only operated one side whenever it was open and had clock theming. Finally after years Six Flags decided to act. Too bad they decided to remove both flats and replace them with essentially nothing.

Located in the North End, Time Warp was the prototype Vekoma Air Jumper, and unfortunately it was teeming with mechanical issues and technical glitches. In my numerous visits to SFNE, Time Warp was honestly probably operating about half of my visits, and on the days it was open, it typically had all too frequent downtime, which was definitely unfortunate since it was one of the park’s marquee flats and best attractions.

Typically, Time Warp never really garnered all that much of a line, even on fairly busy weekends. Usually, lines were about a one cycle wait, which equated to about 10-15 minutes. Now, that wait time could have been dramatically shorter, but the aforementioned technical issues and an incredibly slow loading procedure really hurt this attraction and my willingness to get back in line for rerides. As with all pendulum flats like this, the best seats obviously were the ends because of the more thrilling ride and sensational, unobstructed view.

Onto the ride itself, and Time Warp was something special. First off, Time Warp was significantly more comfortable than the previous Fabbri Kamikazes I had the pleasure of riding thanks to its open-air design and incredibly comfortable restraints. But not only did Time Warp maintain a high level of comfort and freedom, but it also delivered a highly thrilling and enjoyable ride that few could match. While the swinging was on par with other flats of this style I had been on, the hang-time going over the top absolutely blew all other versions away and was some of the best I’ve experienced on any ride ever. The highlight definitely is the point when the ride suddenly stops, fully inverted, and after some amazing seconds of insane hang-time, the ride reverses directions. Really the only chink in the armor is its rather short cycle.

Time Warp was simply a pleasure to ride and one of the best flats I’ve ever experienced. Not only did it provide an incredibly free and comfortable ride, but it also gave plenty of marvelous hang-time going over the top, but the somewhat short cycle and horrid loading procedure hampered the ride. It’s really a shame management decided to remove Time Warp due to its technical failures since it really was a special attraction, and to add insult to injury, right now the small plot of land where this great flat once resided is vacant of any attraction or even any landscaping whatsoever. Honestly, I’m shocked Vekoma never constructed more of these since they are just an undeniably fun flat, but regardless, Time Warp was once one of Six Flags New England’s best attractions.

The Time Warp was a good inverting ride. It had very comfortable seats and restraints, and the swinging and looping action was fast and enjoyable, yet it still paused just enough to take in the view from the upside down position. The ride also looked really nice, as its dual arms rotated round and round in opposite directions.

This ride is pretty good. However, the cycle is not all that long. The end seats are the best. More of a thrilling ride than many of the pendulum type rides out there.

Good ride, always get an end to one of the arms for the best view. Also, for the most scenic experience, ride it around dusk.

Kamikaze-type ride, only its floorless and youre suspended in the air. You have to sit at the end for full effect though.

Very fun, but in the picture of it on the website, its not inverted. The one I went on was inverted. What happened, or am I thinking of the wrong ride?
