This ride seemed fun since i always like family rides(the rafts and more) I went to six flags yesterday and then wait was about 10-18 minutes. When we went aboard, this ride was required for shirts and shoes, this was stupid because i had a bathing suit underneath and i wasn't supposed to get my dry clothes wet. I had to but my shirt and pants back on top. When i got in, i was hoping not to get wet, i got my wish, a few splatters were on me, noting big and soaking as i thought six flags would be. To me this ride would be great for like '2-3 flags' on the fun-o-metor, there was little water on me, but for people who went down the waterfall, they were soaking(like my friend) lol, this ride is okay
APPEARANCE: I actually really liked how this ride looked. The station was pretty neat looking and the ice along the ride was a nice touch. Also, I love how the layout is kept hidden and the tunnel at the end looks cool.
WAIT TIME: 40 minutes- Usually I have seen waits around 40+ minutes for this, but I rode it yesterday when the wait was around 15 minutes towards the end of the day so I guess it just depends on when you ride it. Dispatch times in between rafts could have been quicker.
RIDE: Let me start off by saying that the rides rapids were very weak. They got almost no one wet and they basically were non-existant. However, the double waterfall was a potential soaker for some of the riders and the geyser got everyone wet. Finally, the tunnel at the end was great as it had two unavoidable waterfalls (though they were pretty weak) and some sprayers.
FINAL VERDICT: While not the best river rapids ride out there, it is a decent ride and pretty fun, especially if the line is short. As I said earlier, the theming makes this ride. Not everyone gets soaked, but everyone gets someone wet though so its a decent ride on a hot day. If the line is short go for it, but its not worth a long wait, especially if its hot out.
I came off dry, which was bad considering that this ride is suposed to get you wet. Most of the effects werent working and the line was well over an hour long. It was boring too.
A decent rapids ride. the theming is cool with the penguins and the buildings everywhere but I just cannot seem to find it as much fun after the Thunder river rpaids at LC.
i loved this river rapid ride
it was well themed as well as very nicely kept
whats with the green water though?
is that like riverwater?
kinda made me a little iffy
casue it looks like baywater =/
This is probably the best rapids ride I have ridden so far. I like the arctic theme, the tunnels, and the waterfalls, and at dusk they turn on the mist so you cant see 5 feet in front of you. The water is surprisingly clean as well (its chlorinated), unlike SFNEs other 2 water rides.
Decent rapids ride, actually a little better than Six Flags usually does with theming. However, it is still Six Flags, as the water looks gross and the lines for the ride move slow. Not worth a long wait on a hot summer day, but if by some chance you have a shorter wait, it is worth a ride; you get pretty wet.
Ignore the signs.. you WILL get soaked. Its pretty fun for a rapid ride, but the water smells funny.
Sucks! it had no wiat the first time I rode it and I was like "Whoa, free rides!" and my sis loves rapids rides, so we went on. No fun, no wetness, and a scenery that was not to die for. 1 in my book, but just so I dont look like a retard, ill give it a 1 1/2.
This is an allright rapids ride. The line can be unbearable on most days, so if its a long line, it isnt worth it.
