Themeings good, as usual for Disney, the lines move fast, as usual for Disney, but is the ride good? Absoutely! The unexpected drops make this one of the best rides in the park, if not the best. Definately worth checking out.

This was my very first roller coaster I had gone on. I love the theme of it being in the dark. I only wish it could have gone faster. a great relaxtion ride. I couldnt believe I was afraid of coasters before this.

What coaster has continued to thrill people so much over this many years? Well, I know there are a few others, but at least for me none have done it more than Space Mountain. In 1955, it blew people away, and 50 years later, hear in 2005 it continues to do the same.

The effects may be slightly old, but its that same age that makes them so great. They are classic. Classic Disney. Then, you have the mass of steel that is the actual coaster in pitch black. Wait a minute, you are going only 27mph? Yep, only 27mph. You may think its the darkness thats making it seem like you are travel 57, but I think its the design of the track that does it, and its quick turns and twisted track. I rode it with the lights on in the inside and it still felt like I was going 57mph. Great ride, and a classic.

It isnt the tallest, fastest, longest, steepest, or even best themed roller coaster in the world, but Space Mountain is simply the greatest indoor roller coaster ever built. The coaster, like all Walt Disney World attractions, is incredibly well themed, as the queue line takes you through what is supposed to be "outer space." Riders are loaded into two roller coaster trains, each that seat three, one person behind another. The ride itself is phenomenal - its full of sharp turns and sudden drops, and because it is all done in almost pitch black darkness, you never know what youre going to do next! Its hard to believe that the coaster only goes 28mph...it seems like youre going twice that fast at times! Space Mountain is yet another Walt Disney masterpeice, and is set in one of the most nostalgic theme parks ever built. The special effects are amazing, and the theme and roller coaster combined make for one great experience!

This was a good ride. As it being the only dark coaster i have ever ridden i may be a little biased. The theme was great and the thrill was awesome. Minus 2 points for the headache afterward. A must if you never ridden it before.

There was no thrill involved except an unexpected drop in the dark. I gave this a high mark because my home park is CP and they have a lame indoor ride, while Space Mountain is nicely themed and delivers on expectations. I also liked the express pass that helped as there were fairly long lines when I was there.

I think that it is kind of boring, i mean dont get me wrong the fact that it is in the dark makes it fun because you can not see anything, but i dont know, it is a little to slow, plus getting on Rock n Roller coaster proved to me that Disney can do better. The structural design on the other hand is awesome, therefore i give it a 7.5

Disneys earlier Space concepts and themes were, I thought rather stereotypical of everyones idea of the future. Space Mountain in MK is no exception. However clichéd the theme it is still a decent ride, mainly because of the darkness though! Unforunately I doubt if it would have the same impact in daylight, sorry Disney. The building itself looks amazing from the outside, however is blown out of the stars (pardon the pun) by the Disneyland Paris version, where Tommorrowland is now Discoveryland, and everything is themed on the Jules Verne science fiction novels. Space Mountain here is amzing to even look at, and the ride? Oh my God! I rode it 23 times and wanted more! Effects, music and great theming add to this amazing version! Its got a "cannon" launch, inversions, and an on ride photo! I think MK and DLP could use a revamp of their Tommorrowland areas, as they are clearly well dated! Chocolate chip meteorite, anyone?
