Not impressed with this ride, capacity was terrible, one train made for an hour wait. Also the general public can't seem to understand how to use the restraints, which made for four unlocks in my row and four painful experiences for a particular spot. After the first drop it's all leg shattering pain for the rest of the ride both at the top and bottom of the inversions. Definitely a good set of elements on this one, which earned it some points one of the better themed rides, by Six Flags standards as well. I'm 6'2 so perhaps this had something to do with my discomfort. I don't plan on riding this in the feature, would much rather wait longer for Batman or not wait at all for Scream!
Best B&M Stand-Up. Worth the extra wait for the front. Amazing ride with perfect pacing and great theming.
It's well designed with the whole standing concept and all, but for some reason all the G's go to my legs on loops and it really hurts so I can't really do it anymore. I don't know if anyone else experiences that, but its a drag. Women would for sure have more of a swell time, for private reasons.
Chang at Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom was my favorite stand-up for many years, maybe even my favorite coaster in general, until I made it over to try over Riddler. Not shockingly at all it's the same designer, and they just umped the ante on what made Chang great. The ol' 'let's make it bigger and better and longer than our last one' type deal. Interestingly after a few years of uping the ante every couple of years ('Mantis,' 'Chang,' 'Riddler's Revenge') the stand-up evened out and there hasn't been a new one since 1999 or so, over a decade later Riddler is still the tallest, longest fastest stand-up there is. The ride itself can be daunting, as it stands quite a bit higher than 'Batman: the Ride' or the recent 'Green Lantern: First Flight' addition, but it's worth it. It's smooth, fast and furious with some great inversions, from that huge signature B&M first loop coming out of the first drop to the . The theme job is Six Flags theme jobs at it's best, which means okay at best. The inside of the train station sometimes feels more like mini-rave with lightning straight out of the Ridler's hideout from 'Batman Forever,' sometimes no lightning effects at all. If it's a busy day, it can be a little insane inside the train building as you start to decide which row to go into. On the busier days it can have a pretty decent line, but compared to nearby rides like 'Lantern' or 'Scream,' the line can be considered barely there. Plus with two trains running (usually) and 4-per row, it's a quick turnaround. Also, you are standing up and the ride can get windy just standing in the cars waiting to head out even before going 60MPH, just a tip, yes I'm talking to you 19-year old attention whore in the school girl skirt, no mystery to your riddle. All in all, a don't miss from SFMM.
Easily the best stand up I'.ve ridden. Inversions are great and the ride is surprisingly long. Outstandingly smooth too. This ride is great.
This is definitely the best stand-up out there! Riddler's got height, speed, and inversions, and plenty of them. My personal favorite are those dive loops. There was some minor headbanging, so it really isn't a 10 for me, but it's a great ride.
Worse than Chang. This terrible ride jerked my neck and bashed my head even more than the Arrow garbage on the other side of the hill. I had a sore neck all day yesterday! Ive noticed that 3 of the 4 B&Ms at SFMM have a serious rattling problem. Tatsu did not rattle, but its less than a year old. Does this awful park believe in maintenance? With the deplorable state of other rides like Colossus, the answer is no. How can a B&M built in 1998 be so awful when older B&Ms like Montu still track like a dream? How can you not notice a serious rattle problem on your coasters? Isnt it obvious that vibration is bad? SFMM has more rides than it can possibly maintain. Tearing out Flashback and Psyclone is a good start, but not enough. They need to remove more.
One word can describe this review: Antipointment. I had heard so many great things about Riddlers Revenge, but ya know what...it hurt and wasnt all that great.
I didnt have to stand in line when I rode, I just did Flash Pass. The ride queue and exit are amazing. I love the way the ride looks!
Riding it is a different story though. My feet and legs were fine. It was just my head. I am 5 10" so I am not all that short or all that tall, but my head banged around too much. The ride was smooth, but nothing amazing. There was a part where I loved jumping up in the air for some extended air time, but other than that. I didnt care too much for it.
This ride is extremely fun. It has many inversions which is better than the two on Iron Wolf at Six Flags Great America. Iron Wolf is still great than this though even though the queue couldve been a little more designed. The rides more important than the queue though. Check out the Riddler Phone! Its so smooth.
Most extreme roller coaster in the world. The standing up part is what what makes The Riddler Riddle
