I ran straight to this when I got to Magic Kingdom. The line was about a half hour which is not bad. The queue was brilliant because all the space things to the side were entertaining. When I got into the room with the meteors and stars I was thrilled. I went to Alpha which I heard is 5 seconds longer from a reliable source. I hopped on and noticed the seats were a bit too tight. We started and went up the lift hill. It was weird that I could touch the ceiling from up there. I bet Yao Ming could touch the ceiling with his head. The speed was decent. It was only 27 MPH which is good considering the age of the coaster. I went hands up all the way and enjoyed it. Its a Magic Kingdom Classic and that means you shouldnt miss it.

I remember as a 5-year-old staring at Space Mountain’s iconic white superstructure paralyzed with fear of Space Mountain being egged on by others with positive comments such as “You’ll like it” and “It’s the best ride here.” Thankfully after much encouragement I eventually gave Space Mountain a shot and boy I’m glad I did since Space Mountain is a rip-roaring journey through outer space that’s a delight from start to finish.

First and foremost, the ride flawlessly fits into Tomorrowland with its futuristic enclosure dominating the land. There is just something so powerful about that structure. Anyway, being one of the park’s most popular attractions Space Mountain generally draws large crowds, leading to generally long lines. But don’t fret since the lines move incredibly fast thanks to two, separate tracks. Also, if a wait is incredibly unbearable, just utilize Fastpass. Once in line, the interior also captures the futuristic tone of the ride with perfectly executed neon lighting and space music.

Also, I just love the rocket-themed trains. The lapbars are very comfortable and non-constrictive and I love the roominess of the cars thanks to the unique inline seating. Personally I like the back best, but all seats give great rides so it doesn’t really matter which seat you’re assigned. One dispatched, the rockets fly through the iconic launch tunnel and then proceed up the lift.

Now let me state that Space Mountain’s special effects are incredibly outdated due to the ride’s age. Certainly that issue will be resolved by the attractions lengthy rehab this year and make an already incredible ride experience that much better. And how great is that ride experience? In almost total darkness, Space Mountain treats riders to a rapid-fire array of twists, helixes, and sudden drops that all give great sensations and forces, highlighted by 3 or 4 steep and sudden drops that give great air in the back seats. No matter how many times I ride Space Mountain, the entire ride is a surprise due to the darkness element that the ride perfectly executes. Not only is the ride a rush every time, but also it’s a very long ride as well and well worth a lengthy wait.

Of all the coasters at Disney, Space Mountain is my favorite simply because its by far the most thrilling and exciting of all them. I like the Omega side better than Alpha just slightly, but really there is almost no difference at all between them. Space Mountain is an iconic attraction that one shouldn’t even consider missing while at the Magic Kingdom since despite its age, this classic delivers a thrilling ride from start to end that few coasters can match.

If I was only rating this as a roller coaster Id give it a two, its not fast at all, infact its basically a standard "Wild Mouse" ride, however the darkness and theming add some points, plus its a classic, so I guess it ends up at around a 7.

One of the most classic thrill rides at Walt Disney World really is a blast from the past. I like it in the dark. I love the dark lights. Its really cool. A little rough thats why I gave it a 8.

Very poor experience over all. The ride seemed anticlimactic because of how slow the ride was going the whole time. I dont recall any drops of descent value and I rember simply seeing a barely lit room, no special effects or anything like that. I just saw the ugly limp of track sitting there. I hope they replace it with something worth riding.

Well after I rode Lilo and Stitch I headed straight for this. The line was 30 minutes which goes by quick when your with your friends. We finally got on and ouch the seats are tight. I liked the stars and meteors before you board the ride. We started the ride and I was getting excited. The drops are average for a coaster but thrilling none the less. The speed was not too great but when reviewing it you have to think this was an old ride. After the ride I thought it was cool but nothing major. It is not good enough for a ten but not lousy enough for a six. It is still a must ride when you go to Magic Kingdom. If your a bigger person then it will not be confortable. Anyway I recommend to ride this at night or early morning because the lines are shorter. If you plan on riding it mid day then fastpass it right away and go enjoy something else. This is a ride no one will ever forget when they ride it.

Its like this: Its a classic, which gives it 4 points. Its a rollercoaster, theres 2 points, its got great theming which may be a little outdated but I still love it, so thats 2 point. Its indoor, thats another point. Its has an awesome queue line--which is the tenth point. Dont Miss This Great Coaster!

Space mountain is my vote for the best ride in magic kingdom.Disney does a really good job with the themeing with this ride making you feel like your really in outer space with the astroids above.the speed may be 28mph,but with the darkness of the ride makes u feel alot faster. If there was a launch before blasting off then the ride would seem more realistic and space like. The surprise twist and turns and hard work that ws put into this ride makes it a good 8.

I liked this ride but it didnt really give me that much of a thrill. Like all Disney rides the Themeing was excellent. I like how it is dark the whole ride i was honestly afraid to put my hands up because it was dark and i didnt know where the supports were i know that sounds kind of stupid but i like my hands and i i didnt want to lose them. Overall it was a good ride and a must ride at Magic Kingdom.

Deffently an overrated ride just like pretty much everyother disney ride, but it was fun riding in the dark. Its kind of neat that the astorids or over head but seeing it with the lights on I know they could have done a better job with the track and done a better drop with making it a little bigger because in the red tunnel I can reach up and touch the top of the tunnel and im only 5/7.
