Fun S&S tower that has its pros and cons. This one has two towers, a turbo drop and a space shot. Unlike the Cedar Point one, on this one I liked the turbo drop best. The turbo drop provided some great views at the top and the drop was exceptional as it gave a serious burst of ejector air at the top and a nice stomach dropping sensation. The space shot side however was horrible as the launch was pretty weak and there was no air at the top.
This ride is very similar to the one at Ohio, except this one has only two towers and its smaller. Just like the Cedar Point version, you pick between the dropping side and the rising side. The drop side was VERY intense, it felt like a kamakaze. The rising side is just boring though, it shoots up, big deal. Skip that side. So the drop side receives a 9 and the rising side receives a 6
These sure were fun. A 10 for the drop tower and a 9 for the launch tower.
For me this is an alright drop tower ride. There are higher and faster, but this one is decent. I rank the drop side an 8, but I am not a fan of the upwards shot side, so that is more like a 7. I didnt have to wait too long to ride this, but I wouldnt have joined a long line just to ride this.
if your at the park go on this ride
but at a very shorter height then even scream at SFNE, its not a ride that you go to a theme park for
if the line is long just go wait on a line for talon or hydra the revenge
two of my favorite rollercoasters =D
but this ride is a good first tower ride
after that its just boring
Nice drop ride with a great view of the park. Also my first tower ride.
Just go on the drop side its high scary and green i love how u dont know when your going to drop!
I really enjoyed riding the Dominator. I went on the red side that shoots you up since I was getting used to it. I got some great airtime at the top of its peak & had a really great view of the whole park. Its my #2 favorite freefall, ahead of IOAs Dr. Dooms Fearfall, but behind CPs Power Tower. Ride Dominator whenever yall go to Dorney Park. I finally conquered my fear of Dominator since I was afraid to get on it back in 2003.
This is a must hit at Dorney Park. I usually only ride the drop one so I will review that one first. Its just a smooth quick lift up that holds you up for about 20 seconds which drops you to the bottom then quickly brings you up half way and drops you again. The shoot up one starts with a bang a shoots you high and hard then slowly brings you down and shoots you up again followed by lightly dropping to the bottom. I like the drop tower better only because the shoot up one is like and S & S Power Shot. I will settle with an 8.
Hearing the screams from high above your head as you wait for Dominator really makes you pretty tense as you board the ride. This was my first tower ride, so I was pretty worried in the first place – I had no idea what to expect, so I boarded the UP tower. Your pulse rate slowly increases as the anticipation builds for the launch. Then, without warning, you get shot up into the air. The launch wasn’t as intense as expected, and the restraints really restrained you from experiencing an abundance of airtime. The ride was still very fun to go on though as it still does produce some airtime and gives all riders a great view of the park.
