Without a doubt, the best mine train ever created and one of the best themed roller coasters ever also. The effects were good to.
This was my second coaster. I didnt think that highly of it except the turns were really cool. If I had a chance I would go again.
I like this coaster because of the theming and scenery, but I do still have a problem with it, in no time the ride is finished. The thrills of the ride arent very high but it is Disney, so you really cant go wrong.
Reviewed this for Disneyland. One of my faves!
It may not be thrilling, but the theming and scenery for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad are really tremendous. By far, the wildest seat is the very back, and the front offers some nice views. I love the sinking mine town near the end of the ride, and having more than one lift hill is also a plus. Gets an extra point for having wonderful scenery!
It was a great coaster. Although it isnt the biggest, I still enjoyed it a lot.
You want a Disney classic? Look no further than Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Sure there are no 50+ft drops, or inversions, or 50mph speeds, but its still one great ride. I practically grew up on this ride, it was my first true coaster and I will always look back on this thing with great things to say about it.
Obviously the bright point on this is its theming. There is always something to look at, whether it be inside the caves or some small shaft around the outside of the twisted track that features some tight turns. Great alone, even better with a big group of friends.
it is my favorite mine train coaster and the theming is awesome. i love it. 10
It has a good set-up with the way it goes through the mine, nice southwestern theming (look - javelinas!) but it could definitely stand to move with a little more intensity. Not very fast, mild on the drops and turns. Not what Id call a kiddie coaster, but definitely less intense than, say, Space Mountain (which, great as it is, is hardly king of the thrills). Good for kids starting out on coasters (or adults who dont generally ride em) and even a more hardened coaster fan will probably have fun on it, as long as they dont expect TOO much.
fun stuff! thanks to fast pass we skipped the line and went right to the front seat ride! ok ride, great theaming but the nice memories of when i went on this ride when i was younger makes this one lots of fun
