I was very surprised what a good little coaster this is. I have been on many small coasters and this is among the best. It is fast and fun. It is comfortable, which most small coasters are not. It loads relatively quickly for a coaster of this type.
Schwarzkopf is known for delivering some intense coasters in small packages, and Wildcat is no deviation from this reputation. Great little ride from start to finish with some surprising laterals. The helices are by far the funnest part of the ride, as are the constant head-choppers that are flung at riders until the final brake-run
This is an intense little coaster. It had some very sharp drops (with some sharp airtime) and great, banked turns which provided me with some sharp laterals. I think the present paint color is thrice as good as the original color because the old color looked old and ugly. It now looks much newer. I really wasnt prepared enough for the sudden stops and jolts that this ride gave me. Some say that lines arent usually very long for this ride, but I had to wait about 15 minutes. The sudden jolts and stops lowered the rating, but other than that, great ride. I give it a 9.
A fun little coaster that I believe can be enjoyed by all ages. My favorite part is that it is not a train coaster, but a single car ride. A great one to see little ones enjoy their first coaster ride as well as seeing even the toughest coaster fan let out mini screams. Not worth a long wait, but definately dont pass it if there are only a handful of people waiting.
The best word for this coaster is "cute". It has everything a coaster could want (excluding inversions), just in miniature. The helixes are fantastic, and the airtime is great. More exciting than Mantis and Iron Dragon.
Timberman described this ride perfectly. Its not big, its not very fast or intense. Its just flat out fun. After waiting about 5 minutes I didnt expect much. Most coasters had hour waits. Boy, was I surprised. I sat in the front seat of the extremely small cars. We were off! We went up the old lift hill. One thing I noticed while going up is that the whole ride looks like its going to fall apart. This just heightens the anticipation. The first turn is taken slowly. After that we rounded the corner and went down. I was surprised at the amount of airtime going down the first drop and coming up the second one. I really cant remember anything else about the ride. I know that there were a few more drops and helixes. I also remember that the brakes at the end were very hard. The ride ops did warn us though. So, this is a very fun ride, it wasnt very thrilling, just fun.
I thought this was a lot of fun, if a bit rough. Havent been on another Wildcat-type ride, but this one was a load of fun, lots of jolting around and some decent air on a drop or two. Good stuff.
Are you going to criticize a peanut because its not a porterhouse steak or are you going to enjoy what the peanut has to offer? For those in the latter group, I give you the WildCat. Flying under the radar in that land of giants known as Cedar Point, the WildCat has the most inventive and satifying 1800 feet of track in the park. Nothing is missing from this ride except impressive statisitics. It has the sensation of speed, airtime, excellent laterals, an intense helix, and "Atom" Anton Schwarzkopfs trademark drops that duplicate better than any other coaster the sensation of driving off a cliff. One of my favorite moments on this ride is the second drop, which goes ALL the way to the ground. Even though its only about 35 feet down, something about coming so close to the concrete really puts the jimmies on that scoop. I like big roller coasters as much as the next guy, but what I really love are well-designed coasters, and foot-for-foot this is the equal of any ride in the park. That last turn almost deposited me from the back seat to the front, but I took that as Ants final reminder that this is not a kiddie ride. The WildCat is claws for celebration and will leave you feline fine.
This coaster sure fooled me, the airtime is really good for a coaster that is only 50 feet tall. The helix at the end is really cool too.
Fun little compact coaster. Thought this would be more of a kiddie coaster, but it wasnt. The helixs the ride had were pretty intense in some cases, and the drops were fun.
