Great ride! This is my all-time favorite Shoot-the-Chute. This ride has an exhilarating drop that is huge. 82 ft. down a huge summit into a 60 ft. wave. How can you not beat that. This is one heck of a ride and you should definitely ride it if you get the chance to go to Cedar Point.
Its fun, its wet, and it has a short line. Every one will love it.
It soaked me on a hot day, which is exactly what I wanted it to do. There'.s not much in the way of theming (if you can even call the ".shed". at the top theming), but then again, these are not known for their theming. The good-sized drop is pretty good too.
Rides like Snake River Falls are really so simple in design, and I think that quality endears them to me somewhat. There are no frills, no gimmicks, just a simple mission - you want to get wet? Yeah, we can do that. Its a basic "what you see is what you get" concept with these shoot-the-chutes rides, especially the larger models like Snake River Falls. Standing tall at around 80 feet, it is a great compliment to its neighbors, Skyhawk and the newly glistening Maverick. The setting is nice, and the lake is big, so theres plenty of water around to help the ride do what it does best - soak you. This one scores well with me because it has a really great drop that is tall, steep, and fast. Riders enjoy a coaster-like thrill before plowing into the lake and sending a massive wave skyward. This wave, although not the biggest that Ive seen on these rides, is very good and envelops the boat, drenching everyone. On a sizzling day, theres not much better of a feeling. It should also be noted that the crew on SRF is excellent, as they keep the 2 boats cycling efficiently. Even on the hottest days, the lines are still very managable. In short, Snake River Falls is a great water ride that is good liquid fun, while producing a pretty moderate thrill to boot. When its really hot, let this snake sink its fangs into you! Final Rating - 8.5/10
Snake River Falls was a pretty good shoot the chute ride. The tunneled turnaround was nice and the drop was excellent, as it was fast, tall, and pretty steep. I got soaked at the bottom too, though the splash wasnt nearly as good as those on Intamin models.
Pretty much a basic shoot the chutes but only with a abnormally sized drop. This thing is big and you get soaked.
Short and sweet, but it gets the job done. You are wet when you get off of this ride, but this type of ride lacks length and variety so I cant give it any higher of a rating.
Sorry I didnt make a review awhile ago. Forget it. The ride: After hearing about water flumes tht didnt get you so wet, I couldnt help but underestimate the rides greatness level. Fortunately, it got me plenty wet, but I rode it at night so i was much colder. If the wetness doesnt get you, the drop will. Its actually pretty steep for a moderate-sized water flume. It feels just like a coaster drop due to the air and loose LBs. As this great old thang stands in the shadow of Skyhawk and the Mine Ride, it continues to satisfy.
For these type of flume rides, this is among the best. You get drenched, and the drop is pretty steep... gets me every time. And how can you not love the giant wooden bridge afterwards?
A great way to cool off, nice big splash.
