The Canobie Express is a good way to see the park and a great way to relax. There are two stations; one on the back right of the park and one more towards the center of the park. Usually I try to go on this at least two times everytime I visit, but thats dependent usually upon the wait because of how Canobie only runs one train and the trains speed isnt that fast. The train itself is nothing outstanding and is the modern Chance train that many parks have nowadays. I like the rides layout as it runs along the lake and it gives some very good views of the Boston Tea Party, Corkscrew, Castaway Island, and a few other rides. It takes quite a bit to finish a circuit due to the rather slow speed of the train. The Canobie Express certainly is one of the better train rides out there.

APPEARANCE: While not an older, classic train, Canobie keeps their train in great shape and it looks decent as well. The stations, or lack there of in the case of the one on the far side of the park, are pretty poor though.

WAIT TIME: Walk On- Well, the train holds a lot of people and therefore you can get on right away when the train comes. However, that can take a while since the train travels very slowly and they only have one.

RIDE: I really like the views during the ride of various attractions and the lake, but it is quicker walking across the park. The course is very slow though, and unlike other trains, this one doesnt travel in a loop around the park. Instead the train just turns around at the stations and repeats the same course, just in the opposite direction.

FINAL VERDICT: The views that are provided during the train are great and its definitely better than walking if the train is at the station when Im there.

Great views of the lake, especially at night. However it runs at a rather low speed, and doesnt take you far; compared to the time spent. Not worth a wait, but worth a ride if you get lucky.

Dont wait too long (like I always end up doing), but if the train just happens to by at the station and loading while youre walking by, hop on because its a nice little ride.

1 the powers that be need to let this train go faster it has a top speed of 30MPH and i have see it going almost at that speed(empty)so running it a 3MPH is too slow+ it needs a tunnel

This is a great way to see the park. It brings you around the back of the park along the water front, park rides like the Corkscrew, Boston tea Party, into the woods and then past the corkscrew and galaxy (Rock’n Rider) coasters and ending in the middle of the park.
This ride would be a ten but then tend to run it slowly. It can tack 30min to go through a full circuit. It is capable of doing much more.
