Shake, Rattle, & Roll is a flat ride. It is average speed, it is fun, rerideable, it has a large capacity, and a long duration.
This is one of my faviorte spining fast ride at sixflags. This ride is better than outdoor sizzlier.
After reading the negative reviews of this ride, I was pleasantly surprised to find that Shake, Rattle, and Roll delivered a fun, wild ride. The ride quickly accelerated to its top speed, which was quite fast, making for an intense ride. It is not something that I would recommend for small children ready for their first "big" ride.
Unfortunately, there are a lot of negatives to point out, as well. First, as others have mentioned, the ride cycle is ridiculously short. The light show is sub-par and doesnt add anything to my rating. I thought the music selection was very good, but I found it to be a tad too loud for an indoor ride.
Since the ride itself was wild, fast, and fun, I was originally inclined to go with a high rating. I obviously have to deduct some points due to the short ride cycle, and the light show doesnt help it any. Im therefore going to stick closer to average, keeping in mind that a longer cycle and a better light show would easily boost this into the 8-9 category.
A half an hour wait for a slow scrambler! They stole in inside "rocking music/strobe" effect from Ghost Towns black widow! This ride isnt even worth it. The lights inside barely go off. Skip it and get a drink.
A standard scrambler which couldve received a 4 if the ride ops wouldnt have been so slow and lazy. It took at least 6 minutes to load when I went on, and then we only ran for a little over a minute. I rode this ride once just to say I rode it and most likely never again.
I was very disappointed with the spectacle that is Shake, Rattle & Roll, especially considering how highly regarded Astrophere is on this site. The building left me wonering what was inside, and after skipping it all of last year due to long lines, I took a spin when it was a walk-on today. Once inside, I was discouraged by what (to me) looked like cheap themeing with the banners on the scramblers arms simply painted fluorescent orange and green, but I got over that when I saw a ton of lights, speakers and disco balls. I hopped on and the lights were killed. Then we started spinning and the music began to play. I thought that the choice in music was great, especially seeing that it is located in the USA section of the park, notably themed to 50s Americana. The sound system was also great, one of the best systems on a ride Ive heard. The ride was ok, fast and intense, but... it was a short duration, which was a big let down considering the park was empty when I rode and there was no need for that. The light show was weak too, very limited, and nothing like some of the photos Ive seen out of Funtown, so I think that a 5 will suffice. The scrambler itself would probably get a 5, and this particular light show didnt add to it very much. Still, a fair ride to try when you visit Six Flags Over Georgia.Updated, reason explained in my review comments.
