This would receive a 3.5 from me if it could. This train ride is above average but wouldn't be considered excellent. There are tons of cool scenes that riders wouldn't be able to see from anywhere else in the park. I highly recommend it.

Usually I avoid train rides, or any transportation ride for that matter, but I just couldnt pass up this train. The train looked great and it was far quicker than getting around the park on foot. Also, during my rides I got some pretty good views of a few of Disneylands attractions.

Nice way to sit and relax. Liked the Grand Canyon scene. Great way to get from point A to point B.

Im not generally a huge fan of train rides, but I have to give the Disneyland Railroad credit for being such an integral part of Disneyland since opening day, with the "All aboard" greeting guests right at the entrance. I generally dont use the railroad as transportation, as by the time you wait for the train, board, travel, and disembark, you could have just as quickly have walked there. I like to take it for a round trip to rest for a bit and look at the sights. You get a descent view of Splash Mountain, Its a Small World, some of New Orleans Square, Mickeys Toontown, and Tomorrowland. I prefer, though, the more classic experiences of the ride, the really old exhibits that make me nostalgic for the days when Walt Disney presided over the attractions. There are some animal figures set up amongst the trees as the train chugs through the jungles of Adventureland, as well as along the back side of the Rivers of America in Frontierland. My hands-down favorite parts of the train ride, though, are the Grand Canyon and Primeval World exhibits. These are such incredibly cheesy but incredibly classic Disneyland experiences. They are quite like the nature dioramas that you would find set up at a natural history museum. The Primeval World exhibit, though, is populated by animatronics rather than simply "taxodermied" specimens as is the Grand Canyon. Begin your ride at the Main Street station and stay on for a round trip, so this will be the climax of the ride.

have to give this a ten, its a really clever train ride, its a great use of transportation, but really the ride itself is one of the best, because it takes you so many places, dark jungles, the french quarter, Splash Mountain, the rivers of america, small world, the Autopia backwoods, and of course, the grand canyon and primevil world, a classic experience.

Rest your feet. Feel the cool breeze and take a break around the park. Friendly and fun. Use it to save some walking distance. Station 1 = Main Street. Station 2 = Splash Mountain. Station 3 = Mickeys Play land.

This is a great way to take a break from your busy day at the park and to see the park. The scenes are alright, they could be updated, but they were fantastic back in their day.

Giving it a 10 because it is one of the only trains that has that much story line and theming around it. The dinosaur diorama is great and the ride takes you back to the classic times of the world.
