I cant belive this ride; I stood in line for who knows how long and all it does is builds up anticipation and then you go down a like 5 ft. drop.SUCKS!!!!The themeing saved its grade from a 0 to a 5.
this is a excellent flume ride the drops are great and the theming is excellent just a good all rounder nice job disney
I cant tell you how much I enjoyed this ride. This flume actually has quite a few suprise elements...the quick drop and rise midway through the journey was great. Add to this a neat course, a great view from the top, refreshing mist, fun music and animatronics, and a wild plunge, you have a great ride which is a must to do at the Magic Kingdom.
Very fun log flume. Not one of the most thrilling log flumes ive been on, but what the heck, its great! The only problem with it is once you ride it, and you ride it again, it seems SO MUCH SHORTER! For me, the race is on, which ones better, Ripsaw falls or this one? I would have to say Roller Coaster fans say Ripsaw Falls, but others say Splash mountain. I say: Themeing-> Splash Mountain. Thrills and "wetness factor"-> Ripsaw Falls.
"How do you do? How do you do? Lets get moving along!" At first when Brer Rabbit (who exactly, again?) goes on a quest for "adventure" hes having fun and Splash Mountain is Its a Small World. But then Brer Bear and Brer Fox try to capture Rabbit. Then the ride breaks down at the top of one of the drops (which actually happened to me) and continues down the falls to more Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Dah. Brer Fox and Bear get closer but I dont think thats really evident. Everyone keeps singing like its no big deal. Then at the top of the lift Fox and Bear get close, but Rabbit tumbles into the Briar Patch. I liked it, but the breaking down, cutesy stuff and the fact that I cant get the songs out of my head make it a 9 instead of a 10. The final 52 foot drop actually gives some air time.
I got soaked :\
Cute theme, with great music. The drops were suspenseful but not terrifying for the kids, and everyone had a great time. Highly recommended!
Great. Not because its extrememly thrilling but because its just the most fun log flume ride out there.
This ride is awesome because of the great combination of theme and thrill. The story comes alive when you ride through the scenes with vibrant color and great sound and there are some nice drops along the way. Then it all culminates with the BIG DROP into the briar patch!! Whether you know the story or not, youll "fall for" (sorry, to easy to resist) this Disney Classic!
This is a great excuse to get wet! This ride incorporates a show and a thrill ride all in one. The theming is done very nicely and the song its overdone. This line can get pretty long so a fastpass might be good. But if you dont get one, dont worry the lines move pretty fast. I like the this one better than the one at Disneyland.
This ride currently has an 8.7 average. Why is the ride too short, or maybe it needs better theming. Now i love IOA also but i waited2 hors for ripshaw falls in the building listenein to those moose heads. That ride is also 10+ years newer. All these people who just want a thrill ride just go to six flags and ride the same ride in a different part of the country. Disney is a family park. Well see how the rating for ripshaw hangs on. There was a tim when back to the future was considered the pinnacle of ride technology. Great rides stand the test of time.
