The theming and the detailing on this ride are top notch. The abundance of animatronic magic helps distract you from the actual ride, allowing some elements to surprise you. I think that the ride portion is only worth about a 7.5-8.0 but the theming makes it a 9. For me, I ride water rides to get wet, so if the ride doesnt do that it cant get a 10. Splash mountain didnt get me very wet, even in the front row. Its too bad, I could have used some water after the 2 hour line up.

This ride exemplifies what Disney theme parks do best, theming. The ride itself is a fairly typical log flume ride, but the real fun is the numerous animatronics and the soundtrack.

Wow, this could be the best ride at the Magic Kingdom if not Disney World. Of all the rides featuring Disneys Audio-Animatronics, this one truly feels ALIVE. There is so much going on all around you it actually feels like the mountain is inhabited by living creatures singing and dancing. The scenery is also so well done that other rides pale in comparison. While the final drop may be bested by Ripsaw at IOA, the rest of the ride is unparalleled. I love that after the last drop the ride is not over...you are treated to a few more dark ride scenes that put you back in the swing of things. This ride defines Disney magic. The fact that Ripsaw is rated higher on this site is simply absurd. What are people thinking? On this trip I rode this for the first time in well over a decade. Back then I was a teen, and I simply didnt appreciate it. Now I am over 30 and I was blown away! Go figure.

Another well themed Disney ride. I think the ride is based on Song of the South but they dont sell the movie in the U.S. I didnt get wet so that disappointed me. I dont think the drop was long enough or it just didnt feel long enough. I waited 2 hours to ride this in the summer. I went during January and waited 10 minutes. Go during the morning right when the park opens. Dont go before the park closes because many people rush over there (at least they did when I went).

Splash itself is pretty cool and themed very well. Splash at night with 12 full grown adults in one log is pretty wild! While you used to not get too wet unless you are in the front, the water canons have spread the water-lovin fun across the logs. The storyline is done well through the very long ride and its always funny to have the little drops get people wetter than the big one. Overall a sweet ride, but it just inst quite as nice as Ripsaw in my book (though most seem to disagree)

This is one of the best log flumes Ive ever been on. Its well themed, and unlike most log flumes Ive seen, its got more than one drop. Some of the smaller drops come up as a surprise because its dark and you cant see them coming. The big drop at the end was a great finale for a great ride. I got moderately wet on it, but not soaked.

Great ride, My favorite in the WORLD! It is a million times better than the original in California, and longer. another good feature of the Orlando one is that the log is bigger, GREAT!
In my latest trip I unfortunately missed portions of the rides great soundtrack because of the break down speil. However the ride wasnt down. But as I say this only was for a few seconds and did not spoil the ride. But this did happen on both times I rode splash mountain.

This is one of my all time favorite rides I really like the themeing of the ride as well but the best part is the drop at the end.

This is such a classic. The story if fun and the drops are too. The music is silly, but loveable. The drops seem smaller than they look (or to me at least.) No complaints about this ride.

The story is very nice, and the drops are really fun. It puts many log rides to shame.
