I rode a starship at my town's carnival and heard the cotton eye joe song; was really jammin with a g-forced face!

this is a spinning ride that applies allot of g forces on your similar to The rotors. Though I didnt find this as enjoyable. The music was bad and loud. while The gs were strong they werent great and it s so dark in the ride I felt no sense of getting dizzy like you would on the rotor ride. The cycle was a bit short when it got going and you were pulled off the ground you were already starting to come down again. also this ride added a the carnival feel of the park and didnt help sustain any historic and classic feel for the park.

Starship 2000 was a very fun Gravitron ride at Rye Playland. Located towards the back of the park, Starship 2000 is gray and red looking futuristic. Starship 2000 was another walk-on because of its low capacity and low crowds at Rye Playland. I had a very bad operator who ditched everyone in line (6 people) to get a soda for 5 minutes. She finally came back and allowed us to board Starship 2000. Inside, Starship 2000 has many more spots to stay than a Chance or SDC rotor. You can either ride against a white, blue, or red pad. Once the ride begins, annoying rap music plays and you gradually pick up speed. The Gs really build up when Starship 2000 reaches its maximum speed. Then, Starship 2000s pads raise with you attatched to them. Your feet dangle above the floor. Staying up for 15 seconds, you then lower and the ride begins to lose speed until it stops. Not run as long as the Gravitrons at carnivals, but still a fun but short ride. I highly recommend this ride to fans of rotors and people with very strong stomachs.

Cool ride. I like putting my hands in front of me to feel the g force. The sides going up is a nice touch, also.

Its a spinning ride where the sides go up. Its okay, but not extememly fun and the rap music I find annoying. These rides are also uncomforable after a time. Honestly, I can not understand these ratings.

This was an awesome ride. It goes so fast that it increases the gravity, and makes you stick to the wall, allowing you to stick upside down and any other way. The faster it goes, the more youre stuck. Not recommended for people who easily PUKE.

I really liked it...not that different from carnival rides, but I guess I just like the type of ride in general. The staff lets you hang upside down--they didnt stop me. Though I did fall when gravitys pull got lesser.

An indoor centifuge ride with a light show.
