Its a pretty good ride. Theres some good airtime and g forces. But its a little rough.
Worth a ride. I remember that during its opening season (Im giving away my age), the train on one side would regularly get stuck between hills and maintenence crew would have to emergency rescue the riders and then wench the train over the hill. Allegedly, the ride designers had forgotten to take into account the strong winds off Lake Erie and when the wind was blowing the right way the cars couldnt get over the hill. I wonder if this problem was ever totally fixed as the ride got stuck again (at a different spot) when I was at the park in 2006. This was the worlds largest coaster for one season -- The Beast at Kings Island surpassed it the next year.
great coaster, what a race too! Its a shame the blue track almost ALWAYS wins...
Great coaster and it is awesome how you can give a high five to the people next to you. It looks like wood but is steal. Great under rated ride!
This is a great coaster. It has the look of wood and the ride of steel. Riders are armed with a simple lap bar so there is room to move and really get into the ride and from an Arrow no less! No clutching OTSRs waiting for that neck snap on this ride. Being a racer gives the ride twice the capacity. Of all the coasters at CP this one will get you riding the quickest. Every time I rode it was a walk-on, even when Corkscrew had a wait. Also there is the competition with the opposing train. Finally there are great drops, good air and head choppers that really make you duck. This ride is a blast, good for the whole family.
gemini is a very good coaster. it gets a little slow at some points but its worth riding nonetheless. its interesting to know that this used to be the worlds tallest coaster.
Excellent Ride couldnt ask for more from a ride like this
a great racer with great hills!
The Gemini is basically the largest mine train ride, but without the mining theme. Their is wonderful airtime on the first drop and subsequent hills. The trains race, and during the turns riders on the inside can touch hands. And the lines are so short one can simply walk on. :-)
Probably my favorite ride at Cedar Point. I just really liked the ride for some reason, plus the lines were incredibly short. The one thing I remember is riding in the blue train and pulling my arms down a few times in fear of hitting the bars above me.
