This ride is just as good as Space Mountain. This ride was a LOT better when they had all of the robots, lights, videos and conveyer belts running while you waited in the queue line though.
While Dispatch Master Transport is not one of the most thrilling coasters in the park, it is one of the most fun. Being enclosed in the dark and having the feeling of loosing control of your transport really makes this ride enjoyable. The darkness gives the illusion of raw speed and keeps you guessing what will come next.
This is my favorite bad ride ever. I make anyone who is with me ride it. Then I act like it is totally awesome and act suprised when they dont like it. It really is only a six, but i can give it some padding. Update as they continue to cannobolize the theming and stuff it makes less sense. The ops are still in uniform, but other things are missing. I still like the ride but some of the story has to be there.
I enjoyed this ride. The 3D glasses only worked in the que line though.
me and my friend rode this ride about 6 times in a row back in october because..heh actually just because it was warm inside...but still a good ride. the darkness adds a lot, at least i think so.
I wasnt really expecting much from this ride, but I was pleasntly surprised by it. Its a fun ride, the themeing is pretty poor, but overall I liked it. The darkness makes the ride seem faster than it really is, and its a great place to go to get out of the heat.
Fun ride. First and only Bobsleigh coaster Ive been on. the final drop was very cool, how it twisted and turned in complete darkness.
Disaster Transport has been viewed as both a disapointment and a marvel of theming. It is really both. The theming is decent but looks to be cheap and assorted. The ride is very short but is fun because it is in the dark. I believe Cedar Point should tear down the ride. I know some of you would not appreciate me saying this but they could then build another record breaking coaster in its place like a flying coaster or I would love to see a floorless coaster like Medusa put into the park at this point. It looks to me like the right was meant to be really well and it did have the potential to be that way. I think it was underdeveloped and possibly pushed so it could open a year in advance. Maybe the original Avalanche Run would have been a better stay. But if its a rainy day outside, the line for the ride will be packed lol. As I experienced one day, so its great for the aspect of bad weather. But I really think Cedar Point should think about doing what I suggested or something of taht nature.
Ratings Based on RCT Rating System:
Excitement: 5
Intensity: 3.5
Nausea: 3
I loved Disaster Transport. The darkness is great, and if you dont bother for the glasses, its a great ride even if there is a considerable wait IMO. I still dont get the whole "Alaska" thing though. It looked more like space to me.
its not easy to wear 3D and ride at the same time. I just didnt enjoy it that much, too simple a ride, I know you really cant do much else on a Bobsled. Theming is a mess, am I in Alaska or on another planet.
