Magnum Rocks! It has the intensity and speed of a steel coaster but is also rough and "rickety" like the wooden coasters. Magnum has everything that a coaster fan really wants, a big first hill, high speeds, dark tunnels and airtime. Magnum is basically a mini-sized Millenium Force. Although the chain lift is a little or rather a lot slow Magnum is a great ride and is a Cedar Point must ride1

One word can describe Magnum XL-200: classic. One could argue that this is the most influencial coaster of all time. The first over the unthinkable(at one time) height of 200 ft. Now coasters top the 200 ft. plataeu with regularity. Now with Millenium Force right next door, Magnum now seems a little old and weak. Dont be mistaken though, this coaster will always be a monster on its own. The only knock on this coaster could be its rather boring design. It is an out and back to the truest defintion. Only a few tunnels give it a mix up. Perhaps its aging has lead to it becoming much rougher over the years which brings it down a bit but not much. The first drop still holds a mean punch and it is an awesome feeling. This started the hyper-coaster craze, but as one would expect has been passed up by many newwer rides. But a coaster freak must make the pilgrimmage to Cedar Point at least once to ride the source element.

Id just like to say--Do believe the HYPE!!! This 200+ft record breaker was everything I expected when I visited the park for the first time in 2000. Even though, I rode Millennium Force, before I rode this one for the first time, I still was impressed with the first drop, the smoothness over the large hills, and airtime on the bunny hills. The tunnels added a nice little effect and it was cool being parallel to the beach after the butterfly-shaped turnaround. Truly a coaster that cant be missed on any given Sunday or any day for that matter.

I think that this ride is starting to be forgotten with all of the new rides. Magnum is still one of the best rides in the park. It has the most air time of any ride at Cedar Point, and has been a great ride for 17 years now. Its finally getting some new paint, and should look better than every. It always runs great, and now a days the lines are almost always short. If you got to cedar point, enjoy this one.

This is a coaster not to be missed! I almost gave it a ten but I took a point off because of the jerky parts. There are 3 fabulous tunnels, and in the last one there is a little dip that scares me every time!

After 16 years, it is no longer one of a kind. But its hard to find a coaster that matches its out of control airtime. From the first drop to the last bunnyhill, you are constantly leaving your seat. The roughness isnt a constant, on some rides you experience it, others you dont. All in all, its a classic.

A great ride, even after these many years of service. Amazing air, great speed, and smooth. I had bruises on my thighs from those bunny hops!

This can be a rough ride, especially in the front or back cars, but the airtime makes up for it.

Great hypercoaster, a little rough at the bunny hills, but the airtime helps to make up for it a bit.
