First, and most importantly, my Daughter loves this ride. The theme element is well done. The fire inside is not too intense in case you are fearful of the idea. The drop is not bad, and we barely got wet. I'm sure that was not typical. The Atlantis ride at Sea World in Orlando makes this one seem small. I think that is a plus for smaller guests. Enjoy!

The scariest types of rides are ones that involve flames. Need an adrenaline high...ride this(it was almost too much for even me)!

Very fun. The falling objects were well-done, and the pyrotechnics were unexpected and exciting. The drop was pretty good. The theming on a whole (on the ride and in the area) was generally well-done. Children may not like to ride this because it looks intimidating.

Going by layout, this is an average, unremarkable boat flume/shoot-the-chute/call it what you will. Up a lift-hill, wander around a bit, down to the splashy finale. The ride length, drop and splashiness on Pompeii are good, not great. Where this one ramps it up is in the theming. On the aforementioned wandering section, you go inside a building, fairly well themed to look like Roman ruins, complete with &quot.falling&quot. statues and such. And there&#39.s fire. Lots of fire. Well done fire. You can feel the heat and smell the chemicals. Fire good. Credit this ride with a couple extra points for the pyrotechnics.

I thought this was going to be the average shoot-the chutes ride, but I was pleasantly surprised. The fire and falling objects inside were great, althought the drop was so-so

Let me start off by saying that Escape From Pompeii is the best Intamin shoot-the-chute Ive been on. That being said, Intamin ones arent nearly as good as Hopkin ones in many areas. The indoor fire part is excellent and the fire effects work flawlessly. Many of the scenes are extremely well done and theres one that gets me everytime. After the scorching experience inside, the splash at the bottom gets everyone in the boat soaked cooling them off. However, prior to the splash, the drop just isnt that good. Its smaller than ones of Hopkins ones and it just seemed too slow. The theming makes this ride memorable, but other than that it is a pretty weak ride.

Best shoot the chute Ive been on. First off, the theming was excellent as the fire effects were executed to perfection and the falling column effects were great too. The drop was fun, but still not as good as those on Hopkins versions. The splash got me pretty wet too, which was nice since I didnt want to get completely soaked.

Escape From Pompeii is a very cool shoo-the-chute ride. Now Escape From Pompeii looks great as the buildings exterior looked quite good. I ended up waiting about 10 minutes even though it was 100 degrees out! I dont know how Busch keeps this line moving fast, but whatever they are doing is clearly working. After climbing the lift hill, the boat entered the building and I was wowed by the effects. The fire effects were very cool and I loved the falling column that came within feet of the boat. Though the fire effects looked cool, inside that building was unbelievably hot which was certainly a negative on the day I went. Then came the just okay drop. It wasnt nearly as good as the ones on Hopkins ones as it was smaller and it just seemed slower. The final splash got me drenched (along with everyone on the boat). Also, the splash wasnt nearly as big as the one on the Hopkins version I have been on (Boston Tea Party). This is certainly a top-notch attraction that if you dont mind getting wet there is no reason to not ride this.

This one made me wonder what everyone sees in this ride. The wait wasnt too bad. I was really looking forward to getting into the building and seeing all the themeing. One you get on the boat, up the lift hill, you are in the building. There was one problem, the inside part of the ride is like barely one minute. It is extremely short. The inside part was really good with the fires and stuff falling, but it was just too short. Not worth waiting too long for. The drop is fairly good and you can get pretty wet.
