Great theaming and effects! love the drop you will get wet but if you want to get soaked sit on the outside seat of "boat"
The took a Shoot the Chutes and added a interactive ancient Greece theme, Well done! The gentle splash allows a cool down from the HOT RIDE
Too short of a time in the building. You just go in turn around and come right back out to a tiny drop....Not as good as Splash Mountain.
The 9 is because this is the best up, turn and drop water ride Ive been on. The Flames covering the ceiling were my favorite part. I did feel an escape into a watery plunge was in order.
I absolutely love this ride. The music, pyrotechnics, falling objects and final drop are combined for one amazing experiance! While exiting this ride I head a fellow rider state: "I felt like I was in a rotisserie" The fire effects are a bit scary (thats a good thing) but you wont get baked alive.
The theming inside the turnaround is pretty neat, I would say it is a for-runner to the JP ride at IoA. It however is rather short, the dark ride portion could be longer.
Escape from Pompei was the first water ride of that kind I have ever done ... and I loved it. The scenery with the earthquake and the fire is really impressive.
We went to Busch Gardens at a really hot day and EFP really refreshes from all the heat. Lines are also really good compared to the Roman Rapids...
This ride was quite unique. The theming inside and the Fire on the roof was great, The themed as Cathederal posts and theming is awesome when it burns down and all. But this is nothing special, Just a heavily themed, average day regular chute the chutes. If it wasnt for the theming i would give it a 2.
Take me into a fiery volcano then drop me into cool water...Actually, forget the volcano. Virginia is hot enough during the Summer. Give me splash down!
Good ride. Better than Diamond Falls at PKD because of the themeing.
