Going by layout, this is an average, unremarkable boat flume/shoot-the-chute/call it what you will. Up a lift-hill, wander around a bit, down to the splashy finale. The ride length, drop and splashiness on Pompeii are good, not great. Where this one ramps it up is in the theming. On the aforementioned wandering section, you go inside a building, fairly well themed to look like Roman ruins, complete with ".falling". statues and such. And there'.s fire. Lots of fire. Well done fire. You can feel the heat and smell the chemicals. Fire good. Credit this ride with a couple extra points for the pyrotechnics.
