Okay ride. The shooting experience is very fun and these rides are one of my amusement park favorites. This ride is a fun little thing that isn't crowded when it opens, so it is a good spot at opening right after Boulder Dash.
Very well-themed and great fun...if you are lucky enough to get a phaser that aims and functions properly. If you are not lucky in this respect, your ride experience will suffer immensely.
Great shoot em up ide but it is way too crowded. Hopefully the new trains fix that problem but right now it is not even worth riding because of the hour+ wait times.
I liked it but the stunts were almost exactly the same as Camp Snoopy. the outside of the building was cool and the mist area was awesome. Just like the one at Camp Snoopy the gun makes all the difference and this time I had the bad one. I got tore up by my wife. Larrygator told us to go early and we saved a massive line later. Good but not great although all should at least go once.
A pretty good ride, in the same style as Buzz Lightyear and Men in Black. The themeing and "cardboard" cut outs in the ride arent as good as the others, but it is still a fun ride. The line moved real slow when I went, waited about 35-40 minutes for the ride.
The Ghost Hunt at Lake Compounce is an excellent ride, and shouldnt be missed. Sally Corperation installed this interactive shooting dark ride in 1999. Ghost Hunt has excellent theming around the ride. The building, Bleakstone Manor, looks creepy, and has many spooky objects around it like ghost signs, and scary statures. Lines usually are around 20 minutes, but its the wait is worth it. I found that Ghost Hunt had the longest line in the park. The queue line video, explains the plot (and also is pretty cheesy), and how to work the ride vehicles. Each vehicle holds 2 passengers, and the cars are equipped with 2 guns. The ride is long, and there are many ghosts to blast. There is one part, where you exit the mansion, and get a brief view of the park. The more ghosts you blast, the higher your score. Sadly, the ghosts are only in 2-D, but thats only a minor complaint and it really doesnt runin the ride for me. Overall, Ghost Hunt is an excellent ride. This is a great ride for anyone who isnt afraid of the dark, or ghosts. Try to beat your high score each time. Best of all, I havent ever encountered any deffective guns on this ride like other rides of this kind.
Men in Black owns this thing. First off, to make something clear, I didnt hate the ride, but was disappointed. I waited about an hour for it and that was by far the longest line of the day for me. As popular as it was, I would have expected more, but it just wasnt all there. The spinning was ok, the shooting was horrible in my mind and all of it added up to an mediocre ride, with my long-line letdown being why I deducted another point. I scored 1300-something and whooped my girlfriend though, for whatever thats worth
This ride isnt bad for a park this size. The whole target shooting aspect of the ride is amusing for both kids and adults. The ride itself is not scary at all, so dont worry about bring children on. Heres a tip, try getting to this ride first thing in the morning, it always ends up having the longest line of any ride in the park
More of a game than a ride, Ghost Hunt is a pleasant enough diversion. I just would prefer if the focus of this attraction was on more of the "ride" aspect and less on the "game" side of things.
This ride isnt at all scary (its aimed more toward kids than adults) but its still fun to shoot at stuff even though I suck at it. This ride loses a point though, because even on an average day the line for this ride can be uncharacteristically long.
