This was a decent river raft ride. The cave was nice, as was the overal theming. The problem with the ride is that it lacks the massive soak factor that Popeyes has or the intensity.

Before I even Start Reviewing, I just want to say i freaking hate Raft Rides/River rapids what ever you want to call them, type rides. I mean they could be fun...depending on the type of people your with. Like if your with your friends and your riding, its fun to laugh at each other as you get splashed and crap. But if youre with a bunch of people that you dont know...its just not as fun. Anyways on with congo river rapids. The quee line for this ride is hands down the best at busch gardens. Just standing there in line watching a bunch of spider monkeys jump around and play and eat and do all kinds of crap, is pretty entertaining. So you wait and line and then you finally get to the loading station. I hate this freaking loading station, its so freaking slow it pisses me off. especially when you return to it. Leaving it isnt all that bad, but returning to it...Ill get to that twords the end. Anyways youre on the ride, you pass water cannons that people shoot at you ( that most of the time people miss you when they shoot) and then just from here on to the cave...its dull. No effects or anything no decent theming. I mean, you have trees and crap that probably represents a congo jungle or some kind of jungle theming. But other then that, its dull, theres nothing. The rapids you splash into dont really even get you that wet. I literally want to fall the f*** asleep at this part. So after drifting down the congo river of boredome, you finally come to this cave, now this is the best part. You go into to the cave...and you go under a waterfall...thats it, your done, thats the end of the ride. No drop or anything you just go under a waterfall and get soaked (actually drenched is a better word.) It gets the job done. the job of this ride is to get you wet, just like the job of a roller coaster is to give you a thrill, to scare you etc. But...it just gets you wet. Thats all it does. Anyways, now you go to the loading station, and this is the part that pisses me off the most. The Unloading speed is so F***ing slow on this ride, It makes me want to take my seatbelt off and swim for the exit to the ride. You sit there for freaking 10 minutes just waiting to get off the freaking ride. This ride is so old, its not like Popeye that has a moving platform that can unload and load crap load of boats at once. No you have to sit here on this conveyor belt and wait FOREVER. It takes so long to unload on this ride, on a hot summer day, You could probably dry off before you even get off the ride because it takes so long. I mean come on, would it kill them to shut this ride down for a couple of months to fix this slow ass loading system? Anyways Congo River Rapids is ok. Popeye at islands of adventure beats it by a long shot. But then again, Popeye opened in 1999 and Congo River Rapids opened in the 1980s, so Im not surprised.

This was allright. A few people on the boat got wet, but I definitely didnt get too wet. Then I saw the jet at the end, thinking I would get wet, but it was kind of a let down. I definitely waited too long for it. The queue was nice with the wildlife viewing things.

This was decently fun, just not that great. Theres just not that much to it at all, when I saw the waterfall I thought "heres where its gonna get better", but then it was over. The scenery was nice, I guess I expected a little more.

I rode this ride twice in a row since the park wasnt that busy and the employees were just being nice. Which was a good thing, because the amount of time that was wasted by how slow it loads and unloads is unbelievable. Not your typical circular enter and exit. Instead they unload a raft at a time. However, the ride itself is pretty fun. The beginning is funny becuase it throws you into a corner so hard it surprised and jerked everyone in our raft. Like all raft rides, your luck depends on whether or not you get wet. I thought the natural scenery around the ride was decent. Just an OK raft ride with a couple of positive points.

I rode this ride twice in a row, they let us stay on it because the park wasnt full. I got soaked on it. Its pretty good rapid ride for me. the ride is decently long and the themeing is ok.

A pretty good raft ride, fun to watch people shoot the helpless passengers in the boats. Waits can be long, though.

Ive deffently seen better river rapids ride with more themeing put into it,but the main part is it gets you wet,and seeing hot college girls get off it with a wet white t shirt is deffently a good thing, but the long line it holds is a bad thing. But the monkeys are pretty cool soo it gets a good 7.
