The Crypt takes home the award for the best top spin I have been on. Unlike the others that I have been on, this one is a floorless model and considerably larger. However, what really made this attraction stand out were the effects. While the theming has been scaled back a bit since it lost the Tomb Raider license, the attraction still boasted some fantastic water effects that make the teases far more exciting. Then as usual, this top spin features some intense and G-force heavy flips. I believe I got 3-4 full flips towards the beginning of the ride and then it was followed by numerous teases. If you are a fan of top spins, make sure you give yourself some time to try the Crypt.

Fun giant topspin. Liked it better than King's Island's Tomb Raider (or what ever it is called now that CF took over). While Tomb Raider has the advantage of theming of the queue and being enclosed, the ride is better on The Crypt, namely in the fact that they don't find it necessary to stop you upside down and let all of the blood run to your brain (not sure if the ride program for TR still does that or not... it's been years).

It was fun, i like the rides with controlled fire (Tomb Raider, Volcano, Escape from pompeii (Busch Gardens)), although once you get off there is a weird smell in the air, most likely because of the fire. Overall it was one of the highlights of the trip.

Very good top spin in my opinion. The theming was top notch and the fire and water effects really made the ride more exciting, but one or the other sometimes arent working. I found that this had a good program that had 8 or so flips and then plenty of teases.

The day I rode this ride I didnt find that it was as intense as other topspins that I had been on. There were quite a few suspended pauses where not much was going on. Overall, I like topspins and this one is decent but not spectacular.

I was really looking forward to this: It seemed like by far the best flat ride I had ever seen, but it actually is not even my favorite! The two cycles of 3 or 4 flips are fun, but the rest of the ride is a big teese, and a slow one at that. I only had one opportunity on my ride to view the fire and water effects, so I think those are a little overrated. My main complaint about TRFF is just the pointless slow swinging that the ride seems to do in between the flipping portions. It really gets old after a while. At least its a good long ride though. I still liked it, and it has fabulous themeing. I would ride it again, but not if it had a huge line. And if you are male, you may end up a little hurt more than females if you know what I mean.
Edit: 7/11/07 I actually like the ride a bit better than I did last year. Supposidly, it has been reprogramed to give another inversion this year. However, the themeing is moldy and something is always broken on this thing. Weather it be the music, fire effects, or the ride itself, the whole thing just never seems to "click" together! I do appreciate the somewhat intense ride, but it is also a bit painful. The themeing pushes it above average.

I hate to bring the rating of this attraction down, but I must. Tomb Raider looks to be quite menacing and daunting, but I actually found it to be a bit boring. The ride doesnt flip you all that much, and there are points on the ride that are ridiculously slow. You do get a nice view of the the Congo area of the park however, and the themeing is fantastic. As a ride, however, it is quite a drag.

Fountains gushing and fire all over the place. You actually feel the heat of the flames while being spun around and around. The spinning is intense and puts a smile on your face. Nice views while riding and tons of fun.

Very fun and intense flat ride. The special effects are great and they add to the ride experience. There is water, fire, music and alot of flipping. It would be better if they enclosed it in a building like PKI in my opinion.

The presentation is sick. There are nearly 100 people sometimes just sitting around the area watching the ride seemingly all day. Fire and water spraying. You can feel the heat but barely any water. Nice music and awesome atmosphere. Extremely fun ride that spins you like a yoyo. For such a cool ride, the line is short sometimes which is awesome.
