Not a terrible ride. This ride is a good classic ride for families. This ride has a few nice drops, making it a more relaxing ride experience that you can sit back and easily enjoy. Another Cedar Point ride for kids who are ready to move on from kiddie coasters, but not ready to go on to some of the big coasters. Overall, good ride in a nice classic setting and environment.

Cedar Creek Mine Ride was a surprisingly fun little ride. With numerous drops turns and lift hills its a family coaster that everyone can enjoy. My dad wanted to ride this because he&#39.s not a big thrill seeker and my whole family really enjoyed it, its a realaxing coaster with a few helixes and banked turns and alot of it took place over water it looks alot older than it was too and it was pretty smooth as well.

Cedar Creek Mine Ride (CCMR) certainly does have a wide variety of reviews here at TPC. And although I like pretty much all coasters in general for what they are, be it family, wooden, mice, or bigger steel offerings, I will occasionally come across a coaster that is, for lack of a better term, just disappointing. CCMR is one of those coasters. This mine train coaster located back in Cedar Points Frontier Town looks nice enough, with an appropriate western look to the queue and station, but unfortunately it rides much worse than it looks. I will say that the coaster isnt exactly terrible, but one thing that really hampers it (in my opinion anyway) are the trains. I found them to be very cramped and rather uncomfortable. If I want a pretzel, I will visit a snack stand, not experience it with my legs in a coaster car. I thought the capacity was great, as the line flew and in no time we were squeezing in. And the ride started off going through a neat tunnel before the first lift. But then once the ride started, it was a pretty big let down. The layout is rather tame for a mine ride, and overall the ride borders on slow and boring. CCMR does redeem itself somewhat with the one drop to the lake and the ending helix, but those two brighter spots do not overshadow the other shortcomings this coaster has. Essentially, CCMR ends up being a below average mine train coaster, with a sluggish course and uncomfortable trains. The setting is good, and it has the one nice drop, but other than that its a coaster you can ride once and be perfectly content to move on. Kids will probably like it, but for the rest of us it just fails to deliver even an average ride experience, while also dishing out extremely low thrills and, sadly, very little fun.

This had potential to be a pretty good mine train, but ultimately turned out to be for the most part boring. Much of the ride was slow and forceless, except for the curving drop over the lagoon followed by a pretty good helix. The ride was also a bit jerky in spots, but I did like how it had a hidden layout through the woods.

This is a decent mine train ride. I found it to be enjoyable to ride. It is a bit slow loading but once on track it has some speed and some fun elements that make it a good family ride.

Good mine train roller coaster. Gives a nice break from all the big coasters here. Not as good as big thunder mt. though.

Boring, least favorite ride in the park, and looks a lot more fun than it is. It doesnt even go in the woods that much. It was a walk on, but took the employees about 5 min. to send the train off...

The ratings on this coaster really do vary. I understand that its old and a family coaster, but I just dont see why this coaster gets praised. I hope its not just the Cedar Point Effect. I like mine train coasters, but Cedar Creek was by far the most boring mine train coaster Ive ever been on. The layout basically consists of a few short drops and a few helixes. To me the Tivoli family coasters like Poison Ivy and the Beaver Land Mine Ride are much more enjoyable. I guess a fairer comparison would be other mine train coasters. Basically, I like them all better than this one. The only thing that saves Cedar Creek Mine Ride from a 2 is the location which is somewhat interesting, but doesnt add enough to a VERY mundane ride. I wouldnt ride this if it was free and in my backyard. Final Rating - 3.0 (Bad)

I think of this as a very underrated ride. I give it a thumbs up. Why? The setting, surprising drops and turns, and originality. The best part is either the unexpected drop toward the water, or the spiral at the end. I dont know which is better. The trains look like Geminis, but theres only one lap bar in each row on this ride. Even better than the mine ride at SFGA, you just have to ride this if youre in this section of the park even if it looks ugly. Extreme fun.
