This ride is a typical mine train coaster. It isnt that fast or smooth, or even that fun, but it rounds out Cedar Points coaster collection by adding something for younger rides who seek greater thrills than Jr. Gemini or Woodstock Express offer.
A great coaster for beginners, not much of a thrill, but the location perfect on this ride, you get the feeling you will be thrown into the water!
the mine ride is cedar point
Cedar Creek Mine Ride is a steel sit down roller coaster. Mine Train. It was built by Arrow in 1969. It is 48' tall, it is 2,540' lonng. The drop over the lake is the best part. The curves are fun also. It is fast, fun, rerideable, it has a large capacity, and a long duration.
A pretty good mine ride, it offers surprises that catch you off gaurd and has the right kind of pacing for this type of ride. It is pretty fun.
I dont get why Arrow decided to use wooden supports on this ride. It has its nice sharp turns, and a nice ending helix, but its owned by Gold Rusher at Six Flags Magic Mountain.
This ride was very interesting. It doesnt really have any large drops, but a couple of its elements caught me by suprise. There was no line when I went, and it was pretty enjoyable. Definitely need to experience it if you go to Cedar Point, its a classic.
Cedar Creek Mine Ride is a little too slow and lacks any drops, which is why its the worst mine train coaster Ive been on. Its a great "night ride" though due to the darkness and non-existant lines.
Even though it is a little slow and not very high, and I still had a great time. It was long and I would say it is one of the most fun rides. Even if others disagree.
A good mine ride thats worth a lap. Its fun, but dont expect it to be too thrilling.
