Larry will you get #300 in the UK?

I'll probably pass 200 on that trip, and since I plan on doing my big US trip before the trip it will probably come early in the trip. Yay!

I'm 16 away from 300, but I don't expect that many new coasters prior to UK. El Toro is likely to be the only easy 2006 addition unless I do a Memorial Day Weekend trip. However with the demise of SFAstroworld and the situation at SFNO, the southern tour of new parks for me SFoT, Visionland and Wild Adventures would seem incomplete and the parks too far apart.

The Point. Every coaster lover has to go at least once.

The only reason I'm in a hurry to get to CP is b/c anytime I tell someone I'm into coasters, they ask if I've been there. I have a theory that the place is a tad overhyped. I know they have the most coasters, but they don't seem to have the greatest collection. Out of the 15 or so I'm really only itching to ride 4 or 5. Hopefully a few will surprise me and maybe the park itself is better than I think. Anyway, that just may be my first park of '06 so I'll have it under my belt. So Magnum would be a cool landmark of a 100th coaster. But I guess it really depends on what parks open in March or April. I wanted to get started ASAP.

Thanks for the advice.

You can always just warm up with the usual stuff like Great Adventure and stuff since they open up in late March/early April.

If you have 4 or 5 coasters that you are "itching" to get on, that is more than some parks even have. However, I think you might want to wait a year or two since it looks like they will have something new in 2007. I'm planning on getting there in 2008 so that a little bit of the buzz from the new coaster tails off a bit. It is your call though.

Cedar Point is not over hyped, and the only park that could come close is Magic Mountain with Tatsu opening next year.
I've gone to Cedar Point the last couple of years to ride their biggies, MF, TTD and Magnum but highly enjoyed Gemini, Blue Streak and Wicked Twister.Raptor and Mantis are excellent B&M invert and stand-ups.Most people don't like Mean Streak but I thought it was a good ride and with MaxAir and Skyhawk there'e two other non rollercoaster rides that I love.

I have no idea how anyone could think cp is underrated. It wins tons of awards and has steel coasters all over the top 50. It is a good park that IMO gets the recognition it deserves.

I've now been on 53 coasters all together. Next year, I plan to ride at least 15-20 more coasters b/c I plan on going to parks like BGW & SFGAD when I get my driver's license sometime in April or May.

My coaster count is 250. My favorite coasters are steel, hyper/giga/strata coasters. I love coasters with alot of tunnels, airtime, and hills. My favorite steel coaster is Millenium Force at Cedar Point and my favorite wooden coaster is The Beast at Kings Island.
