Im at 57 , but I hope to reach 100 by the end of next summer. Now that Im in college, and I have more free time between semesters, more freedom period, a very reliable car and a high-paying co-op coming soon, Ill be able to travel more to parks (its really bad when you havent been to a park with an awesome woodie thats just 3 hours away)

It's funny - I'm actually only at about 35, but when I think of it, I've probably been on a good handful of those listed a good, high number of times. God only knows how many times I've been on the Beast...

But then, I don't necessarily hunt down the big coaster parks - I'm more of a traditional amusement park junkie. And, for the most part, I can take or leave most steel coasters - I'm all about wood, baby.

"im all about wood" definately the most double meaning sentence in coaster vocabulary

I want to get more rides on woodies. After experiencing Thunderhead, I know what its about now more than ever. I lke steel coasters and all, but that feeling was awesome. My dad told me the other day "how can you like a wooden coaster more than this?" (refering to S:UF after he rode it the first time, and he asked my why it was only #5 on my list, behind four steel coasters and Thunderhead). I just couldn't explain it... kinda odd since he has been to PKI and ridden the Beast, so I guess I figured that he would have respected wood (silly GP...)

I've been on 57 and counting. My parints never liked going to parks. I did. we went to the same parks often. I likely have a 1000 rides on the Cannonball and Canobie.

I finally decided to type up my track record in Excel format and realized my coaster count is off by a few. In the past I just printed up the Ride Tracker and added and then accounted for defunct coasters not in the Ride Tracker (i.e.: Lightning Loops) Also, it brings up a couple of questions.

Racing woodies count as one in my count but dueling wood coasters count as two if I ride both sides (i.e.: Twisted Twins, Gwazi, Lightning Racer)

With steel such as Dueling Dragons (Fire and Ice) or The Chiller: Batman & Robin I count these coasters as two rides as each side has dramatically different elements within.

I've only ridden on 29 coasters my whole life. Hopefully this year I can get up to at least 50 coasters this year.

Basigle racign coastaer are one coaster. if the tracks are identical then they are one. if there are variances in teh disign such is the case with duelign coaster then they are 2.

I count each track as a seperate credit. Therefor, the PKI Racer is two credits if I ride each side. The only racing coaster that counts as one for me is a mobius coaster, like the KW Racer, where I have to ride both sides to get one credit. The reason I do that is because the two seperate tracks are always, due to the nature of physics, different.

What about Space Mountain? I've seen people count that as two. I don't think that should be two

The two tracks on Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom are mirrored, making them different. In fact, they have slightly different lengths. I have only been on the right side of it, so I still count it as once for the moment.

Since the season is over for most of us how did everybody's count progress. I'm up at 284 now, I picked up quite a few credits at parks that had coasters down on a previous visit and also whored myself out on a couple of family/kiddie coasters.
