Shipwreck Falls is a boat ride. It is fast, fun, rerideable, it has a large capacity, and a long duration.
Odd. The ride is just up a lift hill, a really small turn, down a drop --- thats it. Its super quick and simple, and the drop isnt even very big or steep. Given that, its surprising just how soaked-to-the-bone wet you get. And when you exit, you walk over a bridge that goes over the bottom of the drop, just in time to get hit by the splash from the next boat. (Many people go onto the bridge on purpose, of course.) This splash is like a tsunami, it knocked one guys hat off and pushed me back a few steps. On a hot MD day, I give it props for hydro power.
I really liked this ride, although I know everyone else thinks its not very steep etc. One thing that is good about it is you get wet and I think this is all that this ride was suppose to do. My homepark, Oakwood in Wales has a ride called Hydro, which is a 115 ft. drop at 75 degrees and you get absolutely soaked! Nevertheless Shipwreck Falls is still a good ride.
The water is really really dirty
not tall, not long , not alot of theming, but wet and thats all water rides are supposed to do!
Small and doesnt have much themeing, but does do a good job of getting you wet.
ride is very vey wet but the drop needs to b steeper and longer
