Surprisingly intense little drop tower...sorta ghetto looking, however...like many areas of the park

My first drop tower back in 2003. When I rode it again after doing Drop Zone (PKD) and Hellavator in the past month, this was dissapointing. The immidiate impact of the drop was perhaps better than all three with a nice stomach drop effect to it, but seemingly a second after the innitial drop, I felt the brakes and it was over. I remember back when this first came to what was then AdventurWorld, the DC area thought that this was a hugely insane like thrill ride, but now it goes unnoticed and you can barely see TOD from anywhere in SFA other than the race track, Wild One, or Two Face. Its hard for me to give this just an average score, because the innitial drop was so good, but it was just over way too quick!

The Tower Of Doom is a vertical tower. It gives a nice view of the park. The ride is fun, rerideable, nicely themed, has a large capacity, and long ride duration.

this is the weakest tower drop Ive ever ridden. Only 140 feet and a ride capacity of 12 (all sides were working in May 2004). Ride was made worse as it stopped when I was at the stop and was stuck there for a couple of minutes and they had to lower us down slowly. I rode again later in the day, got a little bit of air but the ride is too short for sustained air.

I was scared out of my mind. I really dont like these vertical tower drop rides, but I rode the one at disney world and with the themeing it was really fun. I was dragged along on this ride by my friend and then to top it all off the ride had a long line. For what it is supposed to do, it does it well I guess.

I rode Tower Of Doom when I wasnt used to free-falls. But comparing it to other ones ive been on, now that i love them, makes me think of it being somewhat tame. It is nowhere near the intensity of a TALL S&S Tower (like PowerTower at CP for example) but still I have to give it credit for packing a great surprise at the top and a nice punch while dropping. Tame tower & not worth the [1 1/2 hour] wait, but its alright.

This is probably one of the more lame tower rides I have been on. Its capacity is 12 passengers per cycle, but one of the sides broke 5 years ago and still hasnt been fixed, bringing the capacity down to 8 passengers per cycle. The ride is short and usually has a long wait, but at least its thrilling.

Im not big on high rides so this wasnt as fun as some of the other rides. Really fast and you could really see the whole park(except for what was behind you)!
