I actually really liked the concept of the semi-enclosed swing, and am now thinking if a fully enclosed one with an FX package like some of the scramblers have would be a really neat idea! However, overall, its just an average swing ride with an average cycle. Fortunately there was no line.. worth a try for the unique factor
Its a rather mediocre swing ride enclosed in a giant orange. Well, the orange certainly enhanced my ride as it provided some good footchoppers, but the movement on this one wasnt that good. The speed was average too and the cycle was way too short.
I really like swing type rides even though I think Yo-Yo is the best of them all with a 10 of a tilting 20 degrees. This ride tilts, but you dont feel like you are falling out. None the less, this ride is a really fun swing ride, and thats why it gets a 9.
deffiently a thrill ride, with incredible feet chopper moments, very under-rated.
This is okay. Its just a swing ride. It had a pretty low capacity because it only had 2 rows of swings. The buzzing sound of the bees got annoying quickly and scared me a little. LOL I did enjoy riding on the outside swings... it looked like I was gonna hit my feet on the orange.
An average carnival ride with a peeled orange put on top. This is not a Disney-standard ride at all. Come out o the shower, Mr. Eisner, and start living up to your expectations.
yeh kool idea 4 a swing ride....bit boring though....disney could do better...swing rides r 4 carnies
This is a fun ride, but definitely not a stellar one at DCA. It is pretty much a standard swing ride dressed up with some Disney theming. The semi-peeled orange that encloses the ride does block much of the view of the surrounding pier area, but in a way it also adds to the fun if you are in one of the outside swings, as your feet swoop out quite close to it. There is also a constant buzzing-by-bees noise and a slight orange scent. The ride duration is not incredibly lengthy, but the swings do move at a pretty reasonable speed, the whole swing set tilts up and down as it circles, and the wait is never more than one ride cycle. Rumor is that this will be rethemed as the Silly Symphony Swings, removing the orange and the bees, to be replaced with a band conductor Mickey and other related theming. I must say I very much like this idea. Except for the Main Street Cinema, I cannot think of a single attraction in any Disney theme park dedicated entirely to these old-school, classic short films.
A slightly above average swing ride (mainly because of themeing). I got a headache from the smell of oranges and the buzzing. Great for kids and there parents. Hang on to your shoes though and ride on the inside. I felt like I was going to smack the side on the outside. I have a question though. What do bees have to do with oranges?
Good theming for a swing ride. This actually was the first swing I ever cared to go on. It isnt exciting, and it shouldnt be. But, at least its better than the Golden Zephyr
