The Florida version is better, but still has the same excellent theming with the thrills of a drop ride.
best "rocket style" ride ever
Great but could have had some added elements to make it beter.
This ride is definitely worth riding. The drops are fun and usually in total darkness which adds to the effect. It is also great when the doors open at the top so that you can see outside. Make sure to pose for the picture.
Date Ridden: Fall of 2007. Times Ridden: 2 Part I A few months ago when reviewing the numerous Disney attractions from my three month trek to the U.S. parks in CA and FL, I mentioned doing an upcoming review on one of my favorite theme park experiences of all time....and guess what? This is it. Thats right, the Tower of Terror, along with its Florida counterpart, ranks right up there with my first rides on Millennium Force and EL Toro, my first experience on Top Thrill Dragster, and the drop on the two US dive coasters. These two attractions are seriously that good. Disney is known for intense themeing but it is rare that they hit the ball totally out of the park with an unbelievable thrill ride that you can share with your family. I will not give away anything that happens inside the Tower so if you are looking for "step-by-step" account of the experience please read another review.......or better yet visit either of the two parks and ride for yourself......review continued in Florida verson of TOT.....
Excellent drop tower that is just behind the one at MGM for my favorite. The dark ride section still is an excellent touch and the theming is certainly top-notch. The drops as always were very thrilling and provided serious ejector air that no other tower provides because of the lack of over the shoulder restraints. I got quite a few drops, but I got more on the one at MGM.
This one is a bit different from its WDW twin (the drops, so far as I know, dont have that randomizer thing, and the fx are slightly different) but its just as good. Not your typical drop or space shot, this appends the tower part to a pretty cool dark ride, filled with heavy Twilight Zone theming and some really creepy fx - loved the part when you see yourself in the mirror. It manages to give you a nice view of DL, then hits you with a series of drops, some short, some long. Unlike the typical tower ride, ToTs drops are in the dark, plus you sit on a bench, secured only by seat belts, no OTSRs. This gives you some real aitime on the falls. Excellent ride.
The best ride at the park. It is different from the one at WDW but that did not bother me at all. I love the part when the door opens and you see yourself in the mirror and it turns you to ghost. I got a really good ride and think we dropped four or five times. A not miss ride at DCA.
This ride is basicly a mini Tower of Terror of the one in florida. its has its moments but alltogether im gonna give it a 8 because its the worst of all the tower of terrors disneys made
Probably the best tower ride around, except for the Florida one. The theming, like basically of Disneys attractions, are top-notch. I know some said the theming cutbacks from Florida were noticeable, but sometimes too much can get a little annoying. The ride time is suprisingly short, and theres nothing like the first time you ride this, as you really have no clue exactly how it will go. Its definitely not your normal drop ride. Fans of the Twilight Zone shouldnt miss it either, as it really adds to the ride if your familiar with that classic show. Ride wait times can get a little long so fastpass is always welcome, though I noticed that usually the wait times were never too bad...in fact, I noticed the wait time sign never went past 13 minutes, haha...
