It is a standard SLC that provides a great ride. overall I liked it. It was a bit bumpy though.

They only had one train running, so the wait was long even though the park was not very crowded. The ride itself was pretty painful as my head banged several times. I will not ride this again.

Uggh. A typical SLC. Horrible headbanging, bouncing and shuffling. The design on this is great. Besides that, this ride has nothing to offer. The color scheme is hideous, the ride needs a new coat of paint. I still dont understand why parks put these in. The barrel rolls are extremely rough. 1 train operations, hour lines, what else is there to say??

Kong is only the second Vekoma SLC I have ridden (along with Mind Eraser at Six Flags America), so after reading all the negativity about this type of coaster, I boarded the train prepared for the worst. After riding, I can honestly say that I am surprised by all the bad reviews. Beginning with the first drop, the pacing of the ride was relentless, and the combination of inversions was unique (to an SLC newbie, I guess) and almost nonstop. The double twist that ended the ride was very entertaining. It is also a very photogenic coaster. Im not saying this is as good as a B&M invert, but the shoulder restraints were heavily padded and I didnt even bang into them that much anyway, so it really wasnt painful to me at all. My opinion is that SLCs (at least this one) deserve more credit than they receive.

yet another ho-hum ride, this is decent, but yeah, to rough, but the pretzel roll is pretty cool, as is the barrel roll, but other then that this ride is just so-so

I really liked this ride. I didnt think it was rough at all, and I was sitting towards the back! Too bad it was only one train operation when I went, I would have ridden it more, but since there was only one train operation, the line was long.

Very rough ride. Probably the worst inverted coasters I have ever went on. The ride is colorful, needs better theme to is. Could be better if they brought better trains to it to smooth out the ride and give it some more speed.

Kong could use a tune-up in the track department, and a new pant jop.

When I last rode this (back in 99) it didnt feel that rough. The layout however wasnt all that interesting. However, much like Boomerang, I rode this when The "New" Marine World was just getting started and there werent that many rides available. And when there are only 2 coasters in the park, this suddenly doesnt look all that bad. Indeed, Marine World still doesnt have that many roller coasters, so you should ride this at least once. Just dont expect anything special.

Kong was probably the most boring ride I have ever been on! It was a little bumpy and popped my neck a little, but wasnt like how painful everyone makes it out to be. Kong was just too short and boring.
