Woah this was lazy. Now I love Finding Nemo, I think it's great, but man this isn't that good. For starters the best thing about it is the facade and queue, since it is short, calm and air conditioned. So we hop into a clammobile and the disappointment begins.
The ride starts with these projections of all the fish and everyone is yelling NEMO!!!! It gets old. We then go into a room with jellyfish, and then we get to the anglerfish (the only animatronic in the ride) chasing Marlin around. After we meet Bruce, who could have been amazing as a robotic but nope, too expensive. We get to the EAC with Crush and the ride ends with us finding Nemo in an aquarium. Too be fair the ending was cool.
I think the ride is too short, too much projections and not enough story. Personally WDI should expand the building and make a bigger version of Crush's Coaster.
The Sea With Nemo & Friends is a track guided ride. It is average speed, fun, rerideable, it has a large capacity, and a long duration.
Not amazing and it was way to short. Not enough live fish and alot of projections. The line itself had some great scenery all in all I expected more when I heard that there was a Nemo ride.
Not bad, but too short with not enough story, too much projection, and too litle fish. The queue seemed to be almost as exciting as a ride. Children will love this for the characters from Finding Nemo; adults can use their powers of deduction to try to find fish in the aquariums amongst all the projections.
This whole attraction has been ruined by the invasion of ".Nemo.". I don'.t even like going in there to see the fish anymore because all you get is an advertisment for that boring pixar movie.
Finding Nemo will certainly go down in history as one of the best all-time cartoon films. Naturally I knew it wouldn’t be long until Disney utilized the popularity of the cartoon to base an attraction off it. Completely redoing the old Living Seas ride (I unfortunately never experienced it before it was removed though), it was transformed into a flashy new Nemo dark ride, but sadly it just wasn’t very good at all.
The Seas pavilion looked nice from the outside and I loved how it was air-conditioned on the inside (honestly that may have been the best feature of the entire attraction). Also, thanks to the utilization of constantly moving vehicles like the Haunted Mansion uses, this never has a line at all from what I saw, and it was the new attraction this year! One other comment about the attraction are the clam-mobiles. I honestly thought they looked nice, but once I boarded and the actual ride began, it just was a massive letdown in my opinion.
First and foremost, I really disliked how the ride utilized projections for the characters, as opposed to the much better animatronics. I know animatronics probably would have been more expensive and difficult to implement, but I think that they would have made this ride dramatically better. The projections just looked and felt weird in my opinion. Also, the ride’s plot was terrible and just very confusing, with the problem being that Disney was determined to include every single one of the movie’s characters, which caused just some unnecessary scenes being included in the attraction, and it just really hurt my overall ride experience. Despite my love of the movie, I honestly was just bored to death on this attraction. The best part by far during the actual ride was the section displaying the actual fish.
While I’m sure many others enjoy the new Nemo ride and theme far more than the original Living Seas, but I just really was extremely disappointed in Nemo. I was expecting a pretty fun ride with animatronics and a typical good Disney ride experience, but I didn’t get either of those. Worse than those, Nemo really seemed to lack that all-important Disney charm many of their dark rides are well-known for. Certainly Nemo is worth giving a chance while at EPCOT, especially if you’re a fan of the film, since it never has a wait, but I guess just go on with minimal expectations.
Oh man, this was a let-down. Even for a kids ride it wss just underwhelming. Its just a bunch of video screens with everyone yelling "Nemo!" over and over and over. I was sick of the name before it ended. You get a couple views into the old, dated aquarium where they project animated fish, which is kinda cool, but its not enough.
It was way better pre-Nemo. They even took out the Hydrolators (really cool elevators that made you feel like you were going under the water).
I just glad the ride replace the living with the seas. I like how Disney calls the ride vehicle the clam mobile how about a doom buggy painted pink. Any way the ride was enjoyable. The line was short all day. The effects of nemo and friends in the tank were great.
Not too bad of a ride. The projection thing was pretty cool, but the ride itself is pretty short. I also agree that it would fit better in Magic Kingdom.
