This attraction is a major upgrade from the old SuperStar Limo. Now go through Monstropolis on Boo's first night in town. There is almost never a line, so why wouldn't you t least try it?

One of the better dark rides in Anaheim, though it sure helps if youre familiar with the movie. The cab you ride in moves at a mild pace, but the sets sprinkle in all the style of Pixar, and do a good job of telling the story. And there are some slick fx, like the use of Randall the monstrous villains chamaeleon power, and the Door Room that looks pretty sweet.

A good dark ride. THe animatronics were done very well and the cars were cool. I thought the ride went a little fast, you couldnt take in everything that was happening. A will ride it again.

Monsters Inc. is just an okay Disney dark ride. This is one of the newer dark rides at the Disneyland resort, but, much like Winnie the Pooh, everything is played pretty straight. There are no targets to shoot at or cars to spin, as there are with Buzz Lightyear or Roger Rabbit. It is much more like the older Fantasyland dark rides (Snow White, Pinocchio, Alice in Wonderland, etc.), which is not a bad thing at all, except that this one obviously lacks the old-school nostalgia of those rides and therefore some of their charm as well. However, Monsters Inc. is better than Superstar Limo, the very pointless dark ride that it replaced. Though I do think the ride vehicles and track layout are pretty much unchanged, the sets and storyline are improved, which is what counts. Though I have not seen the movie, I am more or less familiar with the gist of it, so I could still follow what was going on during the ride no problem. I imagine fans of the movie (especially little kids) will really enjoy it, though those not familiar with the story may be a bit confused. It appears that this ride will remain unchanged during the overhaul of California Adventure, which does not really surprise me. As mentioned, the ride is still quite new, plus it does fit the Pixar bill that the park seems to be steering towards.

I thought this was one of the better Disney dark rides. The rides sets reminded me a lot of Men in Black in Orlando, with that same kind of quality. The story was pretty good as was the animatronics. I have never seen the movie, so maybe it would have been even better had I known the background..

Great animatronics and well timed. You travel through Monstropolis as Sully and Mike try to rescue Boo and get her back to her bedroom. Monsters Inc. is a movie I enjoyed and I liked the ride also. I could see how the storyline would be confusing to someone not familiar with the movie.

Its not a great ride. Next time, I wouldnt go on it again. Its not exciting unless you are a Monsters fan. It is basically a dark ride in which you ride in a Taxi.
