Haunted house was just remodeled in the off season before I went so I can't really compare to what it was like before. But as a dark ride fan, I enjoyed it. Yeah the props were a bit fake but it was still a lot of fun. I found the darkness and suspense leading up to the stunts actually more frightening that what actually was supposed to jump out and scare me. Not the best but still a fun ride.
Date Ridden: Summer of 2007. Times Ridden: 1 Ok I admit it.......I love these old dark rides. They remind me of the Castle at Lake Winnie that I rode about a gazillion times when I was groing up. This one is no different. Its very dark, not really scary, but you laugh the whole way through it. I also just cant get out of my mind every time I ride one of these things things that there is a deranged carny worker somewhere inside waiting on me specifically when we go around a curve or a dark area. That adds to the excitement a little.

I say its a 5 or 6. Ill round it up to the 6.
Im a huge fan of cheesy dark rides... when the stuff actually works. This was barely a step up from fair quality. I love Flying Witch, Zombie, Castle, and other similar dark rides, but they all had working stunts.
The set-up outside is decent but as others have said the sound kills this attraction. Most stunts are poorly timed which is a shame because it is very dark inside. I cant complain about the lack of cars since I dont think the track is long enough to accomodate more cars.
Appearance:7 Very good dark ride with good props inside. Fun:7 Capacity:4 Very slow moving and not alot of cars running on track. Rerideable:Yes very much fun I rode it 5 times when I visited. Ride Duration: Long/Average.
I agree with what SLFAKE says also however this is only cheesy. The cars grind so loudly that you can hear absolutely nothing. The stunts are pretty poor and the ride has a strong odor. Still at this park it is one of the few things I would ride again just for the humor factor.
What can I say... I love hokey, cheesey, funky old style classic haunted houses... and Beech Bends fits this category.
