Date Ridden: Summer of 2007. Times Ridden: 3 Shock Drop is one of the better rides at Beech Bend. The views of the surrounding countryside and park are nice and the ride is fun. The ride op (an elderly gentleman) even let us stay on and ride again since there was no one in line which is always a plus. I give it the average drop ride grade of 7.

A.R.M. makes some of the best drop towers in my opinion. There may be taller towers out there, but this one packed one heck of a punch. The ascent was exceptionally slow and suspenseful becuase of the little bar blocking your view of the top of the tower, but the views on the way up werent all that good. Then with no warning the car gets slammed to the bottom of the tower, and I was completely out of my seat the whole way down and my stomach completely dropped.

Im pretty sure I brok something on this. It is a small park and this ride seemed to just be sitting randomly at the top of a hill. It gives a good view of the park, but since it is so short the braking at the bottom were HARD to maximize the drop, ouch.

Appearence: 7 Gives a nice view of the park and campground/racetrack. Fun:7 Very fun gives a nice bit of air time on the way down. Rerideable: 7 I rode it 5 times when I visited the park. Capacity high and fast turnover. Duration: Average/Long ride.

Definately one of the scarier rides I have been on due to the fair like quality of this drop tower. It does actually give a nice pop of air at the top and the view of a campground full of trailers is "Kentuckytastic". It also has a climb to the top that may take longer then any tower I have been on. The appearance is terrible the ride is ok.

Okay, not the tallest I have ridden... but still tall enough to scare the bejebers out of me when it dropped. I hate heights, but I still ride these things because they are still one of the few rides that gives me that "Oh my God, Were going to die" feelings.
