This ride is amazing. It completely immerses you in its surroundings. Although this ride may not be for the thrill seekers, anybody who has appreciation for aesthetic beauty will love this ride. It truly convinces you that you are soaring over california. It is a great ride and another Disney classic.

Amazing ride! People probably do not like this ride because of its wait times and that it doesnt have big thrills. But this is still an amazing ride. When we went it was a THREE HOUR WAIT. YES THREE HOURS! Thank God for Fastpass. I went into the ride thinking of how dumb it could be. But I was very wrong. The smells they blow on the riders is a great touch. And since everyone was in line for Soarin, there was a 5 min. wait at Mission: SPACE!

I dont understand why completely, but I really liked Soarin! There isnt much to it, but I really enjoyed the ride. I do wish the quality of the projection was better, but the concept was pretty neat. The effects managed to really get me into the ride and at points I found myself reacting to what I was seeing. The airport themeing fit really (and strangely) well and I still cant quite understand why but I REALLY liked this ride! Nothing stands out as fantastic but I love it, I just dont get it LOL Oh but I suppose there are going to be rides like this every so often, and I dont mind.

I think soarin is overrated. Its a pretty simple ride that gives me not much different from a IMAX movie+moving chair. The content of film is bad (in terms of catching the nature beauty) and the quality(resoultion) of the film is wrose. It is not a bad ride if there is no line at all. But if you expect to ride Soarin at Epcot you better get a fastpass as soon as you possibly can or prepare to wait 2 hours to have a 4 minute ride. Even though I am not perticular fan of this ride, I do have some tips for you. While lots of people would like to chose B1 section (section B row number 1) to get the best overall experience, I have different feeling. I think the best experience is either the first person of C1 section which will be the very right coner of the first row, or the last person of A1 section which, is the very left end of the first row. A1 and C1 section is the sections go the furtherst towards the screen that you wont see any other passengers beside you casue you are "above" and "in front" of the rest of them. if you are at B1 section, you could possibley end up seeing a people asdie you from your left and right side casue you are a little behind them. This is especailly obvious when you sit at the right or the left corner of the B1 section. For me that ruins a lot of the total experience. By seating in the two corner of the first row, it gives you some free space casue there is no person in your one side, plus there is no any section in front of you. Maybe you are not in the center of the screen but I found little distraction of that problem. So next time try the the two corner spot of the first row in either the first person of C1, or the last person of A1. I think A1 is the best becasue when you are the last person of the line and you got lucky, there is a good chance that your might end up being no one in your right side (empty seat), and your left is of course empty since your are the last one. That is because Soarin has no single rider line yet, so maybe there is no single rider to fill that spot and you will have lots of space on your own. The two times that I went to sorain, I always got pretty isolated that there was no one on my either side. That really enchanced the experience for me.

When I looked at the information on this ride I didnt think it was going to be that good, I was wrong. It was INSAINE, and also a very calm and relaxing ride. You think that it is going to be nothing when you get in the theater and see a screen that is sooo far from the seat, but when the lights go out BAMMMM! you are directly in front of the screen with it surrounding you. AWESOME, and it feels so real. Definatly sit in the front row cause it ends up being out the top of the three tiers. its on my list of top dinsey rides easily. SHAZAM!

Edit: My first review of this ride was very negative. But after riding it a few times, it grew on me. While its definately not worth the wait times it gets, in my opinion, its a good ride that anyone can enjoy. I dont think it should be classified as a thrill ride, but its so relaxing that youll feel refreshed after riding it.. especially on a hot Florida day. Dont get caught waiting in the hour long waits for this though. Make sure you get a fastpass.

This ride was very impressive. I wasnt exactly sure how the ride was supposed to simulate gliding on such an epic proportion, so I was blown away. When entering the land pavillion, the Soarin entrance is located at the lower level. The entrance is themed as an airport terminal, and I think its very affective since the entrance is located in an indoor pavillion. The line was abstract, but very well done. It captured a great atmosphere and had giant pictures of different biomes on the wall in the main room where most of the line takes place. Trivia questions and cool facts relating to each specific biome flash across a high definition screen, which provides good entertainment and education while waiting in line. Once you reach the end of the line, you are placed on a number that corresponds to where you will sit on the ride. You get a pre-flight breifing and then you are taken into a huge room with three rows of gliders. Teh seats are very comfortable, and once everybody is strapped in the room turns completely dark and you feel yourself being raised off of the ground. Clouds appear on the screen, and the suddenly part displaying the Golden Gate Bridge and San Fransisco. When the clouds part the rush I felt was amazing. It was like I was suddenly hundreds of feet above San Fransisco, and I clutched on to my seat for dear life (Im afraid of heights). After the initial shock went away, the rest of the ride was incredible relaxing, I dont see why Disney puts it in the Thrill ride category, because aside from the openning I felt very relaxed and comfortable throughout the ride. The gliding sensation was extremely gentle and calming, and the scents gave a great atmosphere to the areas you would fly over. The ride ends by landing in Disneyland, which is stupid because the ride is from California Adventure (just advertising for Disneys 50th I suppose "Now arriving straight from Disneyland- Soarin!". A mild thrill is added to the end when the fireworks ignite with you still in the air, but it still wasnt frightening, more of just a pleasant surprise. One downpoint of the ride was how slowly it seemed to load, the line in the main terminal moved at a crawling pace, if it was even moving at all. The line was pretty long, but it was worth the experience. I think this ride is great for EPCOT because it ties in nicely with The Land Pavillion and its a ride that anyone can ride, from the most hardcore thrill seaker to a family with kids.

this ride is extrodinary, and the only reasson why I dont give it a ten is because there are bad seats (the farthest left seats in the lowest row suck, you can barely see the screen) other then that its incredible.

This is an amazing ride. Its one of the rare motion simulators that actually feels realistic, the only thing you cant do is taste the oranges. Another plus is that its "inverted" in a sense, and the way they lift you up, you arent sitting behnd someone with a big head. And the preshow is kind of funny. The only Drawback is the wait. A word of advice for anyone visiting EPCOT on a busy day: Get there within an hour of the park opening and go get a Fastpass for Soarin first. This ride had a 220 minute wait at one point during my visit, and according to a ride operator, on the busier days the Fastpasses can sell out by 12:30 with a 9:00 park opening. One day my sister and I got a fastpass for it at 9:15 and it was for 10:15. When we came back at 10:15, they were handing out the ones for 12:45. It also doesnt have a single riders line (it actually did, but they took it out), much to my dissappointment after how well the single riders line worked for me with Test Track and Mission Space. Therefore, if the Fastpasses are sold out, you dont have an option to dodge long waits, except for getting in line 3 minutes before park close.

This ride is surprisingly realistic! It completely blew me away! The sights, sounds, and smells were great and all contributed to a wonderful ride! Only drawback I see is that the queue is kind of boring and it REALLY takes 70 minutes.
