Innoventions is a walk through attraction that focuses on electronics/inventions. It is fun, it has a large capacity, it has a long duration.
OK, the last time this was reviewed before mine was 2009. Much of the walkthrough attraction varies, depending on your interest, but Innoventions does have 1 blockbuster (yet oddly little-known) new attraction called The Sum of All Thrills. It's a design-it/ride-it simulator, like Cyberspace Mountain at DisneyQuest, but better. You can design a roller coaster, bobsled or fighter jet ride, and it even makes you do a little experimenting to get your chosen course to function. The simulator pod really inverts, so if you want to include a zillion loops or huge drops, it definitely has the range of motion to do it. Check this out at Epcot. A fraction of the wait time of the other big ticket attractions, but just as cool.
A reasonably fun and interesting way and mildly educative. The highlight was the storm-themed simulator, which was thrilling, exciting, interesting, an interactive. Some of the other exhibits (especially those with long lines) were not as worthwhile; despite the name, there didn't seem to be any innovative or new technologies on display. Nevertheless, the displays were on a whole mildly interesting. More exhibits seemed to be geared to adults than to children, and many are interactive, so children will have no trouble here.
Innoventions epitomizes what Epcot is about, futuristic technology being displayed here in the 21st century. Innoventions definitely goes hand in hand with that, from it’s futuristic building to the unique gadgets housed inside. Not only that, but this attraction never ever has a wait since it’s essentially one gigantic technology expo.
Onto the attraction itself, well it definitely houses a wide array of technologically-advanced gadgets and exhibits comparable to a science museum in the two buildings. Each exhibit is unique in its own way and definitely adds to the attraction. Of the attractions, the StormStruck and the Rockin’ Robots exhibits are my personal favorites.
So how does Innoventions rate? Well compared to other theme park attractions, it pales in comparison. Also, I honestly preferred the Innoventions exhibit better back in 98’ and 2000 more than last year’s, but nonetheless it was worth dropping in for to avoid a relentless downpour. Honestly, I probably would have skipped this attraction if that storm hadn’t occurred. Overall, Innoventions is worth dropping in to experience if you have extra time while at Epcot, but I strongly recommend spending your time on Epcot’s far more entertaining attractions first.
This walk thru attraction, if you can call it that is absurd. Its like a high-tech flea market of junk. To make matters worse, they keep rotating the electronic junk out and bringing more junk in. Just keep on walking past this attraction after you ride spaceship earth. Im pretty sure that this is near the front of the theme park.
Fun to play all of the cool games, but not much to do other than look at cool electronics
Good walkthrough thats nice to experience when other rides have long waits. There are quite a few different video games available to play and there is plenty of electronics to keep one entertained for a pretty long time.
Had some fun games in it with some really price stuff for your house. Some of the test that you can do are fun to.
This is a technology and with it being technoligy most of it is out of your price range. Its a fun attraction with a few worth while attractions. The VR games are fun but there are always long lines for it and they havent kept up with graphic technology and seem a bit dated. if you have spare time and you want to do some hands on things come to innovations. but if your short on time there are countless better things to do at the park.
Really nice hands on attraction. Such a good way to infuse a little education into a vacation.
