I think what makes this ride great is that your rotate as you ride. Not only does it make the trip up bearable for those who arent real good with slow moving lifts. The scenery is beautiful for the most part. The other is the suspense. I have been on this several times and still find my self.... well... waiting. It is smooth, nojerks, or back breaks. Just a fun tower.
This is one of the better freefall towers out there even though I have been on it hunderds of times it suspense still gets me every time. This ride gives you a great sense of what sky divers feel great job on buildign this ride.
Amusing is a good descriptive word for this. As I believe was said, you will get a better thrill from other drops like Power Tower. Thats not to say this ride isnt fun. It does afford a great view and momentary thrill, and like most drop towers, 90% of it is anticipation and nerves. Its a good ride, though, and one not to be missed.
Good view of the park while rotating upwards, but the drop was nothing spectacular. A good ride, but the bouncing action on Power Towers Turbo Drop makes for a much more fun ride.
Didnt enjoy it any more than Drop Zone at PCW, and the rotating did nothing for me. Not as good as Power Towers Turbo Drop, either. Still a good ride, no doubt, but not "WOW COOL AGAIN!" good.
This is the tallest gyro drop in the world by Intamin. I have to say, Intamin makes a great product especially this drop tower. Excellent ride I must say. I really enjoy the sights but then you realize soon enough you will be dropped at any moment! Its over before you can even mutter a scream!! One of my favorite flat rides!
This ride is one that will deffinatly get your blood going. You slowly climb up to the top, and get a great veiw of the park, then before you know it, you are speeding down to the ground. Awesome ride.
This was a great thrill. Going up spinning was great, but did it use to spin more than just one rotation when going up?
Awesome. Being slowly hoisted over 300 feet in the air and then held their for what seems like an eternity is probably the single scariest moment of my entire life (for those of you who dont know, drop rides scare the hell out of me). The drop is simply superb and worth all the torture I went through. My stomach shot to my throat instantly and staid there until the end of the ride. My adrenaline was pumping so fast that I couldnt stand right after the ride. Perfect for the hardest of adrenaline junkies.
This is really high!! The view on this ride is great, you get to see the whole park. The ride turns 180 degrees before you drop like 325.
