I don't know if this is a poor ride, of if Trabant's just seemed more exciting and thrilling when I was a kid. This was "ho hum"
An average flat ride; the theming is not well executed, the cycle was of reasonable length or perhaps slightly too short, although the motion it performs when the arm is ready to lower is rather interesting and not what I've experienced on other similar rides.
I have been on a number of Trabant and modern wipe out rides. This was by far the worst. The ride looks in poor shape and is terribly run. The ride is slow with little to no forces what so ever. The only good points was a forward and backwards program and a long ride cycle.
APPEARANCE: The Trabant is pretty ugly in my opinion, as it primarily has a blue and purple paint job with black and yellow thunderbolts on the sides of the cars. Also, the lights no longer work on this which is a disappointment. However, I do like how the ride comes very close to surrounding trees.
WAIT TIME: Walk On- Well, like Quassys other rides, Trabant is a walk on thanks to the low crowds at Quassy and Trabants very high capacity. The operator was pretty fast at loading this too, which was a definite plus.
RIDE: This is easily one of Quassys best flat rides. Trabants speed wasnt anything spectacular and very average in my opinion. Also, the ride completely lakced air time, which wasnt a surprise as the other Chance trabants I have been on dont provde air time either. Quassy runs a very good cycle on the Trabant, as they run it both forwards and backwards, and the total ride lasts approximately 3 minutes if I remember correctly.
FINAL VERDICT: The Trabant is fun, but I always find these types of rides to be fun. Saying that, even though this was fun, it wasnt as good as some of the other trabants I have been on. If you enjoy these trabant or wipeout rides, give the Trabant a try, as its one of Quassys better and more thrilling rides.
It goes forward and backward, which is a plus, but it looks horrible. All the light bulbs are missing and it needs a new paint job.
Standard carnival Trabant, which is a better than usual flat ride. They also operate it both forward and backward.
