Slow, but gives you a nice break and can get some alright views.
Watching this sky ride from the ground, it looked pretty bad. The little flying gondolas traveled along at slower than a snails pace, and they were not very high in the air either. My group had no intention of riding them, but when we finished everything we wanted to do on the Storytown side of the park, we figured wed go ahead and use them as transportation to the other side. We inched along in our little chairs, getting barely a birds-eye view of the park. As we approached a bunch of oncoming trees, I remember thinking to myself "wow, how are we going to make it through those?" But we didnt, because the cable and chairs did a complete 180 and headed back the way we came! After the initial surprise wore off, we spent pretty much the entire return trip laughing at how ridiculous the ride was and how foolish we felt for not having realized it until the very last second. Truly a pointless ride, but it did give us the best laugh we had all day.
Sky rides are always good at geting you off your feet for a bit. The Sky ride is a nice way to get a veiw of the carousel and the story town area. The only big Down fall is the speed. the ride is so slow you want to get off before you get back.
I like old fashioned skyrides, but this one goes much to slow.
Ok it is slow, but it is fun for younger kids.
It should go a lot faster and take you somewhere Ill give it a two though because Ive been riding it since I was 5. Its quite thrilling for youngsters!
By the way, this ride is called the Magic Carpet, not the Sky Ride.
Slow..absolutely pointless ride. It goes out and back to the station....not a transportation ride. Huh?
