Has great lighting at night and decorated cool. The music is too low though, they need a new sound system. Pretty good speed.
This is a pretty bad Musik Express. It is very bumpy and run on a short cycle. However, it does provide one surprise - airtime. It is the first type of ride like this that there was actually air while going over the hills, even if it was because it was a bumpy ride. Still though, it looks run down and beat up and rides like it hasnt been taken care of too well. It is slow and not a lot of fun.
Great Ride! I grew up riding this ride! It no longer goes backwards and the music is quiet. So it loses points for that.
There are two types of himalayas- the newer flying bob style ones and the traditional ones. I for one typically enjoy the traditional style significantly more, and guess what? The Great Escape has one and it’s a pretty good one too. Back in 2000, the Cannonball Express was far and away one of the best himalayas I had ever been on! Now, the Cannonball Express is just a decent himalaya in my opinion due to the park neutering the attraction, as it no longer runs both forwards and backwards.
Located in the Fest Area of the park adjacent to a plethora of kiddie rides, this himalaya looks great with the vibrant mosaics scattered throughout the attraction. Not only that, but the attraction seemed very well maintained, supported by the attraction’s bright, lightning yellow paint scheme that really stood out like a mule at a Kentucky Derby. Lines thankfully are not an issue at all with this, as thanks to its high capacity, I’ve never encountered a wait at all, even though the attraction loads woefully slowly.
Once the attraction began, I was treated to a very pleasant experience. The max speed attained by this was quite impressive, and subsequently the laterals produced by this attraction were really strong. However, the ride’s program is really short. Back in 2000, the ride’s length was double that due to the aforementioned backwards travel; however, the thrill that the ride provides is able to off-set the short cycle.
The Cannonball Express is an out-of-control experience that really demonstrates what a great himalaya can be. If you have some time and enjoy this type of attraction, I highly recommend giving this himalaya a ride since the laterals and speed alone are worth it.
This express goes pretty fast, but I wish they still ran it backwards.
this is a very good music exprees it is one of the best i have been on but they should run it backwords
It looks "ok" for a variant of a "Music Express." I especially liked the original German text. BUT they dont operate it in an interesting way (for example, no siren and dont go backwords), the music was too quiet and much of the light show didnt work. They could do much better with this.
This used to be a great ride at the park. The ride used to go backwards but not since Six Flags has taken over. Therefore it loses a couple of points.
This is a great ride. Its an older version of the Music Express, but it is still fun.
Doesnt go backwards and plays music on an old soundsystem.
